Justice for Sushant Singh Rajput can wait (DT Note pg 11)

Karan Johar, Uber Bollywood producer, director and a friend, philosopher guide to all the who’s who in Mumbai, was at the receiving end of terrible cyber bullying after an innocuous announcement about writing a children’s book.

Knowing the infamous IT cell, the bullying originated from them. But, Johar who has also been photographed with Prime Minister Narendra Modi when he led a star troupe to the Prime Minister’s house for a photo-shoot and has also received a Padma award, is incidental in the current muscle flexing playing out on social media.

The real story is a trifecta - an attempt to win the Bihar elections on the emotive issue of son of the soil Sushant Singh Rajput being maltreated in Maharashtra. Don’t believe me, see the first campaign poster issued by the BJP, which has a picture of the late actor with “justice for Sushant” emblazoned.

The second reason is to take revenge on the Thackeray family and the Shiv Sena who dumped the BJP and their alliance and formed the government with the Congress and the NCP.

The third and most important reason for which actor Kangana Ranaut makes serial daily accusations of Bollywood being “anti-national” is a Sangh Parivar fantasy - to take control of the Mumbai film industry - India’s biggest soft power, which has the power to influence hearts and minds.

The Sangh has for a long time fulminated about the three top superstars - Salman, Shah Rukh and Aamir Khan being Muslims. This is a chance to teach them a lesson. Look at the familiar Sangh tropes being deployed. Aamir Khan was hugely attacked on social media for a photograph with Turkey’s First Lady Emine Erdogan and called a “traitor”.

Ranaut compared Mumbai to “Pakistan occupied Kashmir” after the Sena attacked her for abusing the Mumbai police.

Notice the straight conflation with Pakistan short hand for Muslims. And, imagine if any of the Khans had made the comparison. Police cases would have been filed and BJP leaders would have been queuing up to attack them.

Ranaut, who is also a Padma awardee, makes daily unhinged attacks against her rivals and enemies, who are petrified into silence and gets unhindered access to public platforms. What started as her crusade for Rajput has now deteriorated to allegations sans any substantial proof.

And who are you to decide that? I'm talking about the title of this post.

What sort of a disgusting title is this???

You want to talk about the injustice and prejudice towards certain people from the industry do that but while doing so don't make such remarks.

Yep, who cares about Sushant's justice? Almost no one, maybe barring some of his close friends, family and girlfriend.

Everyone else have other ulterior motives. For media channels, it's TRPs, for politicians, it's politics to win Bihar elections and destabilize Maharashtra govt, for opportunitists like Kangana, it's a chance to use Sushant to get back at her enemies. For other vultures like Ankita, it's their chance to make a comeback and be relevant again. And for most ordinary people, it's a voyeuristic saga full of theatrics, dramatics, entertainment and gossip.

Very few people are actually invested in justice for Sushant. Not even his entire family is truly interested, which is why they made several baseless, false allegations against Rhea. They are being vindictive and vengeful.

It's not wrong to say very few care about justice for Sushant. I just hope he's not seeing all this from above. It would only hurt him to no end me, knowing how they are hounding and vilifying his love for their own evil intentions.

Justice delayed is justice denied though.. justice should never have to wait

Justice Can wait is bit far stretched. I understand not every one is interested in justice but few people still are, his closed friends are. His family his. People connected to him are.

It's been two months And it's always sushant story running 24x7 across all channels. There are other equally important rather more important topics that's needs media intervention. Because of sushant story everything else just got sidelined and govt. Is using it as a tool to hide their impotency.

Now that the National agencies has the control over the investigations I think media should navigate part of their focus to other problems. Let agencies work in silence. When they have anything concrete they will indeed inform. Instead of full blown rigorous coverage they can limit the coverage given to ssr case and focus on other. Justice don't have to wait.

If someone really cares for his justice they wouldn't pounce on Rhea without any proof. They would wait for the agencies to investigate and find out the cause and perpetrator of foul play (if any).

PRACTICE what you PREACH. When you can call Ankita a 'VULTURE' when she didn't even abuse Rhea or anyone, why it bothers you so much even if 'Normal ordinary people' abuse Rhea? Your hypocrisy is on another level!
