Best female performance in a Bollywood movie

IMO Tabu's work in Haider is by far the most complex and multidimensional performance I've seen in the whole of Bollywood. She displayed so many shades and layers of acting, always carrying with her an aura of ambiguity that was difficult to ascertain -- I could not make up my mind whether she really was positive, negative or what until the very end. That performance can be interpreted in a multitude of ways and that's mainly because of her style of acting.

Manisha's work in Dil Se is a second close.

But you could guess Manisha was a killer almost immediately

No ambiguity there or interpretation for that matter...

I would agree about Tabu in Haider being among the greatest performances.

But hell to the Naah for Manisha in Dil se, in fact it was a poor performance. All she did was whimper, whisper talk and moan like a puppy, it was cringey. Same with srk who was beyond awful with his hamming in that movie.
