Diljit Dosanjh's Satluj LEAKED online; Uncut version available on Youtube after ZEE5 takedown

The controversy around Diljit Dosanjh's Satluj has taken yet another dramatic turn. Just hours after the film disappeared from ZEE5 in India, pirated copies began spreading rapidly across the internet. What started as a debate over the film's sudden removal has now shifted into a larger conversation about piracy, censorship and whether digital content can ever truly be taken offline.

According to several users on X (formerly Twitter), the full HD version of Satluj has been circulating widely through social media platforms, messaging apps and file-sharing links. Many have also claimed that the film has surfaced on YouTube through unofficial uploads, with fresh links continuing to appear even after some are taken down. As screenshots, clips and download links spread online, the film has become one of the most talked-about releases despite no longer being officially available on the streaming platform.

Diljit addresses the removal and makes a surprising appeal

The leak comes shortly after Diljit Dosanjh broke his silence during an Instagram Live session. Thanking audiences for watching Satluj during its brief run on ZEE5, the actor reflected on the years of delays and hurdles the project faced before finally reaching viewers.

During the interaction, Diljit also made a remark that quickly grabbed attention online. He encouraged those who had already downloaded the film to share it with others, suggesting that once content reaches the internet, it becomes almost impossible to erase completely.

His comments sparked mixed reactions. While many supporters argued that the film deserved to be seen after its long struggle to reach audiences, others questioned whether encouraging the circulation of pirated copies was the right approach, especially when it touches upon copyright concerns.

A film surrounded by controversy from the beginning

Originally titled Punjab '95, Satluj is inspired by the life of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, who investigated the alleged secret cremation of thousands of unidentified bodies during Punjab's militancy period. Directed by Honey Trehan, the film also stars Arjun Rampal, Kanwaljit Singh, Suvinder Vicky and Geetika Vidya Ohlyan.

Its journey has been anything but smooth. The project spent years caught in certification delays and release-related hurdles before finally arriving on ZEE5. However, barely two days after its India premiere, the film was removed from the platform without any official explanation.
