Seema Biswas - Bandit Queen

Tapsee Pannu - Pink, Badla (same character, multiple interps. Not many could pull it off.

Vidya Balan - Kahani, The Dirty Picture

Tabu - pretty much everything she's touched except her really early stuff

Sridevi- good actress but totally focused on commercial success. She was just starting to shift gears when she passed.

Manisha - no, not overrated. Just the films people point to are mediocre like the Mani Ratnam melodramas. Watch I Am to know how good she is.

Rani Mukherjee - Black

I wish I knew more of the pre 80s actresses to comment. Am sure there were some good ones before the time I learned Hindi also.
