You see the burden of forgiveness in terms of the language and what I meant falls on the victim. In this case Preeta. And as a lot of you pointed out and as much as I have also seen, Preeta is the forgiving type.

Nevertheless, I was asking if were to be his plan would you deem it that he has redeemed himself. Redemption is whether or not a perpetrator has redeemed himself as in self actualization by the perpetrator in this case Karan. In terms of getting back what he has lost.

Karan will never get back what he has lost. Whether he redeems himself or not in his own eyes or the eyes of the two families he has lost a lot and he can never get some things back. The bitterness of this time will remain within him forever. Bad decisions brought too much pain for everyone.

There will always be scars of his deeds. Even if Preeta and Karan are going to live happily ever after (they are not😆).

I will forgive him when the time will come. It's too early to forgive and forget until he behaves like a jerk. Let him suffer first.😆
