EK's overconfidence that she can sail the ship with the hype she had for her iconic characters from the previous season forced her to think that evenif they are not given a proper storyline, some buzz on them and some offscreen gimmicks will help her through. This plus, the way she kept on fooling each fan groups by butchering other's favorite character, time to time, put the final nail on the coffin. She never concentrated on giving a proper storyline and character progression, after the Komo1 track.

Don't know about kzk but I m doomed due to parth.As he is the reason I m stuck here.otherwise I never watch itv shows.By looking at kzk it seems my decision to never watch itv was absolutely right.Plz parth quit this show so that I can quit this show.

For me story and character writing matter then most supporting character writing is very important for story but in kzk2 we never get any writing

Accept it max people didn't see any chemistry or connection in anupre from day one even fans complain about it

Because chemistry was big question ,ekta and her team started Parica PDA and even jodi award done and dusted caption prove that it actually bother them.

Story was never there

Max people watch starting days of kzk2 because of season 1 nostalgia

And for running a show u need content example sanjeevani was also doomed

The thing is like hope said.. the season's biggest enemy is its predecessor... Whenever audience got the vibe that it's going season 1 route.. the track has been rejected by the audience..

They had lot of scope to develop the already existing characters... So many back stories..Growth in characters... they could come up...which as fans we can see...but such creativeness which is expected from cvs was not to be seen when they resorted to s1 way..

Especially someone like mohini...She could have been the biggest kasauti in anupre's life who with the fake goody shades she brings can easily fool anyone... In fact till date i waited for such a track where anu would know his mother's true colours and would support pre throughout...

The thing is CVS failed to understand that when the show started .. it was shown anupre have a divine connection with goddess images in the background...their dhaaga marriage was a proof of that...like Pari said the day they broke it...it has not been the same for the show.. They removed that connection completely ...as per convenience used it to fool audience which they continue to do even now...

The tracks which worked in favour of the show were naveen babu track... Komo 1 track.. vikrant track .. memory loss track again revived kzk2...But they gave such a bad ending to viraj track .. it really didn't make sense... They didn't even clear what was his enemity to anupre...Instead that haphazard ending led to a new kasauti anuneprekokyunmaara which completely broke the main characters arc defined in the beginning...

I am not saying butchering didn't happen before as we are seeing it since komo1 track...but the humour... emotions... sassiness.. good winning against evil which was there before now everything has been lost... Why will anyone watch such negativity ... when despite being in love... anupre are shown time and again dumb, helpless and their brains are put on sale... Only when the audience rejects tracks .. anupre get back their brains and come together for one episode only to be separated for next 3-4 months...

One more thing...

I don't want anupre to ever be like their predecessors..😆.That is one of the reasons i am still hooked to this show... 😊

But yes I did want growth in their characters.. i want them to be humans than saints...make mistakes ...but most importantly learn from them...

It's okay to be rail ki patri but despite all odds... Holding the connection between them... If one gives up...Didn't ever want the other to lose hope ... this has been the case till now... This is the 1st track i.e anuneprekokyunmaara where neither has any hope... Then why will audience have hope...

with naveen babu track they started well parica chemistry too click with audience

& prerna which was so progressive in last season that time she dont need any man her life here no growth at all in her character

To answer the title question, HELL YEAH!

Marketing budget and a popular Bollywood actor in the promos doesn't guarantee success. KZK2 proves it.

Since the very beginning, the strange obsession with the epic love saga of two soulmates has overshadowed literally everything, including the story. Forcing heavy words like divine love and soulmates doesn't compensate for a good love story. You need good tracks and good actors too. Else these words seem more like a troll.

That dhaga marriage nonsense is the most ridiculous and absurd shit I've seen. 😆

I'd also credit the two protagonists. Good actors even make trashy storylines bearable, and, to some extent, believable. Here the two failed to connect. Period.

You're absolutely right when you say that it's cvs failed to understand the essence of their own show. The different facets of love that we saw in the previous season is completely missing in this one. 👏agree completely, AnuPre still feel like that college couple who have stayed immature despite going through all these heart-breaking kausautis. And the sooner this show ends, the better. I'd very much like to see Parth in a well written role so I can go back to drooling over the absolute perfection of male specimen that he is. for me Anurag is only tolerable & likeable because of the way Parth has played him.

I think many factors contribute to the failure of this reboot. First would be committing to a storyline even before the show actually began. Anurag and Prerna are like train tracks that can never meet. So they can never win. They'll never get together, their ship won't sail so what's the point of rooting for them except getting frustrated. Then they have a set story so we know that major tracks from previous season will be repeated. There's no mystery at all. And then the show tried to save itself by casting big names but then didn't support it with good writing. agreed, they should have attempted fresh, new story lines that were unpredictable, that would have been much more interesting.

Oh my god, can we talk about the writing for a second? In KZK2 all the kasautiis in Anupre's lives are people trying to get married to one lead or the other. And I don't even want to talk about the different types of marriages that this show created. One-half shaadi, deal shaadi, dullah unconscious shaadi.. And that Howrah bridge cringe 🤮🤮. 🤣 nothing modern or fresh about this show. the previous season was at least progressive for it's time.

Also, these people wrote the stupidest character in the history of characters. Prerna Sharma. Whose solution to every problem in life is marrying it. Does she get off on decking up as the bride? A marriage junkie, perhaps. I don't understand why anyone is interested in Prerna. TBH though, I could see this Prerna work if she was not based on the S1 Pre who didn't need any man in her life. She was sufficient by herself. Every trial and tribulation in her life made her stronger. But the writers gave us Prerna 2.0 who plays yeh mera pati hai with Komolika and now, needs a bloody speech from Bajaj turned Sandeep Maheshwari everytime something goes wrong with her fake revenge plan. Uggghh, how I hate this Prerna! 😵 i feel the same. Prerna has gotta be the worst female lead ever written. The CV's can't butcher a character they've never invested in, & they haven't. she's been shafted time & time again in favour of the male lead (mainly) or Bajaj & even Komo. none of the plots given to her have ever been successfully executed. Plus she garners no sympathy from the viewers & is only ever seen as the other half of either AnuPre or PreRish & never as an individual!

Anurag is 1000% better written than Prerna but knowing the kind of character she is, that isn't saying much. He is also illogical and stupid. Parth why did you do this to us? Get out of this mess ASAP. I'll give all my money for making KY2 Season 4. 😆lol, he does the angsty character much better. As for Anurag he's . Not the ideal boyfriend/lover material ever!

And if you think these two character were terrible, the show makers upped their ante with AnuPre. Who are everything that people in love shouldn't be! There is nada communication between the two, no understanding at all. But all of this has been said before. This here is the main problem, i think. They've tried to jam down our throats the fact that these two are SOULMATES, they've tried to hammer it down with the heavy religious sentiments & comparisons (totally inappropriate according to me). There's nothing between them to even remotely suggest that they are soulmates. No trust, respect or communication. Plus they're always defeated by a stupid kasauti & never grow stronger or learn from them.

Now, coming to the reason why I am in this shitfest. BAJAJ. If anyone needs a guide book on how to ruin a character, watch the Bajaj track. The cvs didn't even bother with building the character. They just got KSG to play Bajaj and that's it. Didn't even write him good scenes. He is so not needed in this show. Especially when the cvs were so disinterested in giving him a proper character arc. 😭this right here is heart-breaking 💔. Bajaj was the character i was most looking forward to as well, i still remember RR's version from the first season. I'd heard of KSG but never seen his performances so didn't know what to expect, BUT boy did he deliver 👏! i loved his version, the subtlety, the suave, the charisma, the sexy attitude ...BUT then they ruined it all 😡.

Ugghh this show is the worst. And the saddest part is that it doesn't have to be. If only the cvs had invested on developing all the characters, investing on subplots and keeping the essence of the characters intact instead of constantly changing things at the drop of the hat. They've been coasting on the popularity of the actors & AnuPre fans. i mean if you can get viewers invested on these bases alone , why try 🤔!

One thing that I'd have steered clear of if I was a creative in the show is the old tracks. Everything predictable should have been chucked straight out of the window. And there should have been a lot of trope subversion. Also, I think the story of kzk suffered from the exit of Hina and KSG... They should've definitely brought Komolika and Bajaj in the story a lot earlier than they did. Agreed they should have been infused into the narrative earlier so that they wouldn't feel like third wheels but rather external influences on AnuPre's lifes that advances their journey in some way. KZK2 is a great lesson in how to waste the potential of great actors & ruin iconic ones!

Yes it was doomed from the start because the focus spotlight for this show was always offscreen matters whatever they may be rather than what was being delivered onscreen.

The biggest killer of this show has ultimately been the negativity.

Every track, every character has been negative.

Anupre have never had room to grow and breathe!! None of their Kasautiis have any basis in reality. The same concept of kasautii could've been handled so beautifully using mohini, as someone here had said. Mohini and veena could've been ideal Kasautiis. If Bajaj had to be brought it, his intriguing past and equation with the Basus could've been explored. Even a concept of second chances, and moving on from your first love could've been explored better between Bajaj and prerna, making the majority of the viewers connect to them too. Prerna and anurag having separated could've tried to live their own lives. Pre as a single mother could've been employed by Bajaj a single father. As an anupre fan, I would've watched and connected to them. Because second chances can be beautiful when we'll executed. But instead we had a man holding a woman to ransom using her fiances life as Ransom. Every track has been like this. Each sacrificing for the other and in the process only causing grief, blackmail marriages, random falling in love without even having 2 sensible conversations, a handicapped man being attacked, the most idiotic krish knife stunt ending with the atrocious throwing over the bridge.

Do we know how many times in this show komolika has tried to kill a baby? She once tried to stab a pregnant woman in the stomach. It was a nauseating and disturbing watch.

There has never been a single episode where the rotagonists have been happy without a looming kasautii.

What is there in this show to make it a pleasant watch for the average viewer who is spoiled for choices? Only fandoms who have their own favorites will stick to this snooze fest.

This show has exploited and exhausted every single thing that kept it running. Time to accept defeat gracefully and end it after doing justice to its lead pair atleast towards the end.
