But the basic plot of this movie....which was the Naagin taking revenge from all the people who killed her Naag lover....that seems to be Ekta ka basic plot for most of her seasons too...it's either this lover ki death ka revenge or some Naagmani shit....on loop😆

I looked at some more videos....dude, it's insane how many people were in this movie.....Sunit Dutt, Kabir Bedi....even REKHA was there as one of the "roops" the Naagin takes to kill one of the guys😆

Oh tell me about it🤣 I tried watching it and then that credit list had me😲 itne bade bade naam there was feroze khan too and mumtaz too apparently its credited as her last film in titles and rekha 😆 and it gets even more creepier with the 6 men watching naagin damce from.behind the trees in the very beginning itself 🤣🤣🤣 and then the dying naag seeing their faces and naagin going on their badla spree I only watched about 20 mins caz i figured its gonna be one after the other killing and there's nothing else here but I was still shook by how many big stars of that time came together for this silliness

Manav Gohil talks about returning with Shaadi Mubarak, apprehensions, quality content on TV and more

Manav Gohil is all set to be back on the screens with Shaadi Mubarak, co-starring Rajshree Thakur. In a recent conversation, the actor got chatty about all things show, the pandemic, and more.

Shaadi Mubarak, featuring Maanav Gohil and Rajshree Thakur in the lead roles is all set to go on-air today evening. The story is a rather different The show promises a journey of self-revelation of two individuals who are extremely different from one another but what keeps them together is respect. While Manav as KT is extremely charming, Rajshree as Preeti is fierce and vulnerable at the same time.

We got into a conversation with Manav aka KT and he got talking about all things show, the lockdown, returning to shoot, among other things. He sure has quite the insight to give about so many things going around, the content, and more.

How has the lockdown been treating you?

It has been great, can't complain much because it has been a blessing in disguise because we have spent a lot of time together as a family. We had a great time, we learned French together, did stuff together, so it was a great time and the family time that was long due and it might not come back, hopefully, but still, a lot of fun.

How overwhelming did it feel to return to the sets after such a long time of no shooting amid a pandemic?

I think that is the right word, because of course one, there is the fear of the virus, and for two, even when we started opening, people started shutting down shoots because somebody was infected. There was a lot of panic, but that helped us to be on the guard and remain extra cautious about how we are conducting ourselves on the sets, so that part was a little challenge. The other challenge was a new show, new team, new people, and a new character, of course, we were all dealing with that as well. Overall, it was pretty demanding I'd say, still is, and we are not done with one month of the shoot yet. But yes, through these challenges I am hoping we can forge goals.

Did you have any apprehensions before getting on board?

There were a lot of meetings that happened between the producers and the channel, along with CINTAA and they were all talking about safety, so everyone was careful about it. And then, there was a separate SOP generated for my household. Shweta is so dynamic about such things, she is extra alert and she was overlooking everything, and my staff was briefed by her. We were also being very strict and as much as I wanted to hug my daughter when I got home, it was a no-no until I had my shower.

How has the response to the promos been? One thing that got you on board as far as the story and the character is concerned?

The story is nice, and the character is interesting but what got me on board is the commitment or the heart of my producers who said that let us make a show that is grey and will be something different also. So they want to approach the same emotions in a different way, they don't want to make something sad, or show a woman being retributed, but they want to show how a woman can stand. In addition, there is a love story, there is romance, a little friendship.

I think the show is interesting and the people are liking it, the promo, the look, and feel, so far I've been getting positive feedback even from corners that can be very critical about my work, like my own family. Shweta is also pretty happy with the way things are looking right now.

Do you think it is difficult to keep the audiences hooked to daily soap despite the progressive content that is being made?

I don't know about what, when, or when, but I think TV has somewhere degenerated in between, from what used to happen a couple of decades back. Very few shows would stand on their own and do good, but a lot of other stuff has been coming in, which might not interest people with intelligence. But the thing is, we are dealing with masses in the country. Having said that, the second point is, will this progressive kind of content on OTT will be a challenging, or motivating for television, I am hoping so. Like I have always maintained, it is not what people want to see that we give, but it is what we give, people will consume, as long as there is quality. So I am hoping that with the way things are happening now, there will be a shift on TV.

I think so because the show is looking really good and it is also a breath of fresh air in terms of the casting. I was a little surprised to see Rajshree and me being cast opposite each other since this is a different way. I don't think people have seen me, romance anyone, in the last 10 years, similarly for Rajshree. So in this light, I think the way the promos have been made, the music, this is going to be a welcome change after lockdown. I believe this is one of the first shows to be launched after the lockdown and that is why it is likely to make you smile a little.

Wishing the team all the best for the show!

Nice answers

I agree with him on the degenerated quality for shows this we've been saying for too long now too that the shows have gone down too much in recent past. Idk what exactly he means with the grey show but I will watch and see .

Basically Rajshri ka character (Preeti) is a superwoman/supermom😆....she sings, she dances beautifully, she writes poetry, she stitches lehengas in half an hour, she manages to execute a big Marwari wedding by herself cuz no help available in Covid times....lol. Yeah it sounds very cliched on paper but Rajshri lent an elegance to her character IMO.

Also sounds like her husband (not sure if he's dead or he just left her) mistreated her a lot. Beta baap pe gaya lagta hai....total asshole who just keeps ranting at her. But atleast her daughter is nice and supports her mom....son-in-law seems to be a good guy too.

Rajshri Sachdev ka character doesn't seem like the typical vamp....yeah she seems to pass taunts about how her son is busy helping out his MIL but she doesn't seem to be mean/vicious. They are trying to go for a cross between a funny/self-obsessed and observing kind of character....she seems to be the type who observes everything and passes her own commentary on it. Only thing that got too much for me was literally seeing woh Preeti touching yeh Rajshri (forgot her character's name) ke feet. Too much ladke ki maa hoon toh ladki ki maa meri seva kare types. But still, she doesn't seem mean....just wants to have people give her importance.

LOL ok this mannat drama was so overblown....ek toh yeh Preeti only revealed her voice to save her son....phir that beta did so much faltu drama. She was anyways going to reveal her voice later with some poem recitation.

DIL ka blunt-cut seems so 90s😆.....yeah she wants a convenient maid around and will be the one torturing bechaari abla naari saas the most....lol

End mein finally hui Manav ki entry.....that was a nice scene with him reading Preeti ki poem. So seems like he is already some wedding planner/owns some company and he will be impressed by Preeti madam ki so many multi-tasking skills toh usko apni company mein job de dega....since she already has a crash course in wedding planning now thanks to her own bete ki shaadi planning.

Overall ok first epi....there's some cliches, some typical characters....but overall I'm not put off yet.....Rajshri lends a dignity to her character even as she faces typical beta-bahu atyachaar. I'll watch a few more epis to make up my mind. I have a feeling this beta-bahu atyachaar crap is a setup to make Preeti leave the house and live on her own terms as she starts working for Manav's company.

Harneet ko love story likhne ke liye laaye lagte hain....God help us😆....anyways I'm gonna zone out her existence.

I just finished watching it too and I liked it too. It was watchworthy and rajshri seriously brings so much class to the show. I actually liked all the characters except that jerk of the son. The daughter is sweet and genuine at one point i felt she was being over sweet but then it got OK when she explains the whole thing. Rajshri badly wali was really good too she was funny but not mean evil as of now. The hone wali bahu will be evil i can tell already.

Yeah some things were OTT like that pair choona of samdhan and the jhoomar girna and the son being overdramatic but other than that definately decent start. Let's see aage kya gul khilate hain. Abhi toh am super cautious caz harneet mata ji ka naam attached hai but not bad and am so glad to see rajshri(saloni) wali back after soooo long.

I did like the sets and costumes too for a change shaadi main kuch dhang ke outfits thay sabke not some weird style designs and colors.

Manav ki entry was nicely done too and I liked that he read the poems first and her watching it from behind the pardah very nicely done .

Haan same....I also thought the sets, the costumes were decent....nothing too crazy and garish. Rajshri ka Ghoomar wala dance was so lovely na? She dances so elegantly.

Yeah, the daughter seems to be a good support system for her mom for now.....this girl I've seen in some show but I can't seem to place her now....lol

Rajshri2 (man, i really need to remember the character name....lol) ko I also didn't mind and I feel her character's layers will open up with time....grey hogi but not vamp. Bahu is deffo the main vamp....lol

So far, the cast is all good....no one too plastic or putting me off....so I think I can wtch for now.

Yeah last scene was quite nicely done....poem was lovely and Iktara suited that scene. I'm also dreading Harneet ki "arcs" here but I'm gonna try and zone her out and watch for the content and the actors cuz I liked most of them.

Yeah the ghoomar was lovely too and I also liked the covid jokes in betweenthey were inserted with a sense of humor and not in a preachy way which all other shows have been doing jaise ke kisi ko pata hi nahi hai kya ho raha hai duniya main. I laughed so hard T the whole 10,000 diye hain shaadi main toh kya sirf paapad kha ke jaayegen🤣 it actually was laugh worthy and relatable to how people usually think at these weddings durr paar wali. Everyone comes for food mainly😆

Yup word about nothing pretentious or fake about characters so far which is why I liked ot more than I anticipated .

Woh bahu toh evil hai hi woh toh aaj hi precap main tha ke her grahpravesh and preeti was pushed out accidently hi sahi for now but symbolic toh hai hi. Epi 2 is available now so will watch and post my thoughts. For now I just appreciate the lack of pretentiousness and fakeness and normal clothes. Oh man waise toh yeh choti choti baatein hain but aajkal itni rare ho gayi hain na ke bas

watched the 2nd episode of SM pretty decent though aaj major portion of episode went into KT ka introduction koi 90's ka rajhastani superstar hai rajhastani film industry ka and all aunties went latoo over his entry. i liked that he's not overyly narcisstic ofcourse he has oh am the star vibe and shellign pictures and autographs like this but it wasn't overdone and he didn't come across as arrogant actually very humble and light hearted guy with his advice to preeti about smiling. acha tha intro.

Rajshree 2 is called kusum and she was pretty funny in ehr crush over KT again just how much difference experience can make she was supposed to go latoo over KT and it was done in such an entertaining way OTT fangirling main bhi ek subtleness tha it wasn't loud or annoying .

so Kusum is pretty observant and i liked her relationship with preeti she does jhado her raub over being her samdhan and ladke ki maa but usme karwahat ya evilness ya bohat zyada arrogance nahi hai she does it in a very light hearted way too i liked when she was noticing preeti ke moods and the whole picture with KT thing how both of them took it togetehr with KT. dono samdhans ka bond is nicely shown and there felt like an actual familiarity and kinda tenderness in their bond beyond just how it's usually shown in shows about samdhans always baying for blood . she also observed how bindini is eating credit of preeti and actually voiced it out too that preeti is doing it wrong with giving her sar ka taj aka her mehnat ka credit to this bahu ki company and that she's being too nice when she did all the mehnat and not getting the intentions behind bindeeni ki harkatein.

also later with the whole grah pravesh it was nicely done and again i liked that eye to eye contact between both rajshris and that communication.

Thanks for the update on SM, Fary.....I'll try to catch up on that in a bit.

For now I caught up on MDKD.....Amber-Guneet ke scenes were again quite good in Monday's epi....the honest convo about Nia in the first scene and then baad mein phone wala "romance"😆....quite cute they both are in this phase.

Is waale scene mein toh puraani Guneet is now back making her goofy jokes too😆...."Main kyun sharmaaun? Sharma toh aap hain"😆

Ok, finished catching up on SM epi 2:

Manav ka character KT is quite entertaining....the whole Rajasthani superstar angle is hilarious😆....especially those random disco lights waali videos they were showing of his old films🤣. But he's not being shown as the typical flamboyant OTT superstar, which I'm also thankful for.....he's shown as affable/charming for the most part.

His first meeting with Preeti was nice too....there is a gentle, thehraav waali quality to their interactions....again, it helps so much when you have veteran actors as the leads....they add so much nuance.

The dialogues are clearly going to be witty and kadak cuz Raghuvir Shekhawat ji hain 😆.....aur unko bahut experience hai superstar ke dialogues likhne ka while writing RK in Madhubala.....the "muskuraane ke liye rokda nahin thobda lagta hai" line was🤣

So far, there is a bit of irreverence that I'm liking....even though there is sanskaar ka heavy dose with Preeti being sanskaaron ki murat, the other elements are balanced out.....especially with characters like Kusum....oh lol I've only belatedly remembered her name is RAJESHWARI Sachdev....lol main kal se isko bhi Rajshri soch rahi thi.....haha too many "Raj" waale names.....but yeah today she was hilarious with her fangirling over KT😆.....her equation with Preeti does seem intriguing....faltu ka hate nahin hai...she may maaro tashan of being Preeti's daughter's saas but she doesn't seem to try to put down Preeti.

Bhabho ka cameo bhi tha ismein?🤣.....is she going to be a recurring character? I guess DABH deja vu karna hai....same producers jo hain....lol

The mention of KT ki wife intrigued me....I guess he's either estranged from her or divorced....and I read somewhere that his real wife Shweta Kawatra might be playing that role....lol dekhte hain. Also seems like he belongs to a rich family in Rajasthan....I guess wohi hoga that he will think of starting a business and then Preeti will join him. I wonder though what will make him decide to be a wedding planner😆....Preeti ka toh samajh aata hai....she's already a pro at doing it while planning her son's shaadi.....and aage when bahu-beta kick her out, she will need the job....but why will ex film star KT get into this? Hmm let's see.
