Spoiler***

Story based un udaipur...Marwari family

She is a mother of 2 kids, son is getting married. Spoilt brat...Blaming ma for all things gone wrong. Hone wali bahu wants a free mein naukrani so wants MIL to live with them🤪

And....Because MIL is Mute...Saas bahu chik chik nahin hongi😈

Lol, Varun Badola's wife Rajshree Savhdev is her samdhan, daughters saas. Ek aur namoona hai yeh.

End if the episode maha khulasa....Mum ain't mute...Son ate glass as a child and couldn't talk. So she took a manat to talk when son wears a sehra. Pretended to be mute for 20 years. Daughter and SIL applaud her sacrifice. But Son gets angry and insults her....Shafi ke mandap mein drama.

Rote hu a maa tayyar hone gaye to complete rituals. And Hero ki entry hui.

****

I am not against peoples religious beliefs and faiths. But here they just made fun if it.

Should have waited to watch

How is taking some mannat to remain mute for 20 years making fun of people's religious beliefs?😕😆.....people take all kinds of mannats in their faith....ismein kya mocking hai? Do we really want to pretend that people don't do extreme things in trying to keep their mannats?

This doesn't feel like a big deal to me.....real insulting is what happens with TV shows propogating kaala jaadu and shit like that.

first of all those outfits are smiley37smiley37smiley37 esp jeetu ji ka uppar se the naags wala lehranasmiley37smiley37smiley37 and if this isn't cringy enough they added sunil dutt chup ke tadooing them from behind a tree and smiling being happy definately not creepy at all😆

Tha na AWESOME?🤣.....Dude, what skimpy outfits 😆....for BOTH the guy and the girl🤣....matlab sneeze kar dein toh sab gir jaaye....waah re progressive 70s😆....iske comparison mein the Sridevi waali Naagin movie was more conservative.

But the basic plot of this movie....which was the Naagin taking revenge from all the people who killed her Naag lover....that seems to be Ekta ka basic plot for most of her seasons too...it's either this lover ki death ka revenge or some Naagmani shit....on loop😆

I looked at some more videos....dude, it's insane how many people were in this movie.....Sunit Dutt, Kabir Bedi....even REKHA was there as one of the "roops" the Naagin takes to kill one of the guys😆

I liked Manav's answers in this interview....and I'm curious to see what he means by this being a "grey" story.

Manav Gohil talks about returning with Shaadi Mubarak, apprehensions, quality content on TV and more

Manav Gohil is all set to be back on the screens with Shaadi Mubarak, co-starring Rajshree Thakur. In a recent conversation, the actor got chatty about all things show, the pandemic, and more.

Shaadi Mubarak, featuring Maanav Gohil and Rajshree Thakur in the lead roles is all set to go on-air today evening. The story is a rather different The show promises a journey of self-revelation of two individuals who are extremely different from one another but what keeps them together is respect. While Manav as KT is extremely charming, Rajshree as Preeti is fierce and vulnerable at the same time.

We got into a conversation with Manav aka KT and he got talking about all things show, the lockdown, returning to shoot, among other things. He sure has quite the insight to give about so many things going around, the content, and more.

How has the lockdown been treating you?

It has been great, can't complain much because it has been a blessing in disguise because we have spent a lot of time together as a family. We had a great time, we learned French together, did stuff together, so it was a great time and the family time that was long due and it might not come back, hopefully, but still, a lot of fun.

How overwhelming did it feel to return to the sets after such a long time of no shooting amid a pandemic?

I think that is the right word, because of course one, there is the fear of the virus, and for two, even when we started opening, people started shutting down shoots because somebody was infected. There was a lot of panic, but that helped us to be on the guard and remain extra cautious about how we are conducting ourselves on the sets, so that part was a little challenge. The other challenge was a new show, new team, new people, and a new character, of course, we were all dealing with that as well. Overall, it was pretty demanding I'd say, still is, and we are not done with one month of the shoot yet. But yes, through these challenges I am hoping we can forge goals.

Did you have any apprehensions before getting on board?

There were a lot of meetings that happened between the producers and the channel, along with CINTAA and they were all talking about safety, so everyone was careful about it. And then, there was a separate SOP generated for my household. Shweta is so dynamic about such things, she is extra alert and she was overlooking everything, and my staff was briefed by her. We were also being very strict and as much as I wanted to hug my daughter when I got home, it was a no-no until I had my shower.

How has the response to the promos been? One thing that got you on board as far as the story and the character is concerned?

The story is nice, and the character is interesting but what got me on board is the commitment or the heart of my producers who said that let us make a show that is grey and will be something different also. So they want to approach the same emotions in a different way, they don't want to make something sad, or show a woman being retributed, but they want to show how a woman can stand. In addition, there is a love story, there is romance, a little friendship.

I think the show is interesting and the people are liking it, the promo, the look, and feel, so far I've been getting positive feedback even from corners that can be very critical about my work, like my own family. Shweta is also pretty happy with the way things are looking right now.

Do you think it is difficult to keep the audiences hooked to daily soap despite the progressive content that is being made?

I don't know about what, when, or when, but I think TV has somewhere degenerated in between, from what used to happen a couple of decades back. Very few shows would stand on their own and do good, but a lot of other stuff has been coming in, which might not interest people with intelligence. But the thing is, we are dealing with masses in the country. Having said that, the second point is, will this progressive kind of content on OTT will be a challenging, or motivating for television, I am hoping so. Like I have always maintained, it is not what people want to see that we give, but it is what we give, people will consume, as long as there is quality. So I am hoping that with the way things are happening now, there will be a shift on TV.

I think so because the show is looking really good and it is also a breath of fresh air in terms of the casting. I was a little surprised to see Rajshree and me being cast opposite each other since this is a different way. I don't think people have seen me, romance anyone, in the last 10 years, similarly for Rajshree. So in this light, I think the way the promos have been made, the music, this is going to be a welcome change after lockdown. I believe this is one of the first shows to be launched after the lockdown and that is why it is likely to make you smile a little.

Wishing the team all the best for the show!

Ohh you mean the son was mocking his mom? Lol well then that’s probably just to show that he’s a douchebag. Doesn’t mean the makers are condoning him making fun of his mom’s beliefs.

No idea who’s written this story. Doubt it’s Harneet. Usko toh “beast mode” waale heroes hi chahiye hote hain 😆. Haven’t had the chance to watch the epi yet. Will catch up on the credits when I do.

Oh SHIT, you were right, bworm🤣.....This is friggin HARNEET ki script? 😲🤣.....ABORT, ABORT right away!

Waise toh it's a Mittals ka show....but seeing Harneet's name in the credits has now seriously put me off.....this paagal aurat I don't want to deal with again.

How will she manage to work in a place other than with her pyari Ekta and Gul maata?

Raghuvir Shekhawat seems to be a co-writer as well so dunno how psycho Harneet will work with him😆

Ok, I finished watching the first epi.

Basically Rajshri ka character (Preeti) is a superwoman/supermom😆....she sings, she dances beautifully, she writes poetry, she stitches lehengas in half an hour, she manages to execute a big Marwari wedding by herself cuz no help available in Covid times....lol. Yeah it sounds very cliched on paper but Rajshri lent an elegance to her character IMO.

Also sounds like her husband (not sure if he's dead or he just left her) mistreated her a lot. Beta baap pe gaya lagta hai....total asshole who just keeps ranting at her. But atleast her daughter is nice and supports her mom....son-in-law seems to be a good guy too.

Rajshri Sachdev ka character doesn't seem like the typical vamp....yeah she seems to pass taunts about how her son is busy helping out his MIL but she doesn't seem to be mean/vicious. They are trying to go for a cross between a funny/self-obsessed and observing kind of character....she seems to be the type who observes everything and passes her own commentary on it. Only thing that got too much for me was literally seeing woh Preeti touching yeh Rajshri (forgot her character's name) ke feet. Too much ladke ki maa hoon toh ladki ki maa meri seva kare types. But still, she doesn't seem mean....just wants to have people give her importance.

LOL ok this mannat drama was so overblown....ek toh yeh Preeti only revealed her voice to save her son....phir that beta did so much faltu drama. She was anyways going to reveal her voice later with some poem recitation.

DIL ka blunt-cut seems so 90s😆.....yeah she wants a convenient maid around and will be the one torturing bechaari abla naari saas the most....lol

End mein finally hui Manav ki entry.....that was a nice scene with him reading Preeti ki poem. So seems like he is already some wedding planner/owns some company and he will be impressed by Preeti madam ki so many multi-tasking skills toh usko apni company mein job de dega....since she already has a crash course in wedding planning now thanks to her own bete ki shaadi planning.

Overall ok first epi....there's some cliches, some typical characters....but overall I'm not put off yet.....Rajshri lends a dignity to her character even as she faces typical beta-bahu atyachaar. I'll watch a few more epis to make up my mind. I have a feeling this beta-bahu atyachaar crap is a setup to make Preeti leave the house and live on her own terms as she starts working for Manav's company.

Harneet ko love story likhne ke liye laaye lagte hain....God help us😆....anyways I'm gonna zone out her existence.
