If he's negative why would he got beaten just to make Bani smile? Akesh was willing to get kill by Naageshwari he accepted every challenge by her. That's one thing they maintain from Akesh with Veer is both are willing to do anything for Naageshwari and Bani.

Veer is not just a villain here, There is much more to him he will progress and change to be a better person for Bani.
