As you said, even his sharaaratein, his mischief have a pyari si quality to them😆

Re: Sumo....yep the fact that they are showing her so dependent on her father's viewpoint for everything makes me feel she will have her own evolution too....just like Shravan is realizing some things through her, she will realize some through him....and you're probably right, it will come through a rift only. Sumo's whole world is her father - any shift from that worldview may need a big fallout for a change to happen.

Exactly caz it's so ingrown in her she just doesn't realize that she can have her own thinking tooo it was apparent with the whole tyre change incident too caz she heard dadi say that about civilians and she immediately believed it despite how ridiculous it sounded to a sane person that it was so pointless but for sumo whatever her father or daddy says or thinks even if they make a comment in passing not being too serious about it she takes it as some.life lesson as some.patthar pe lakeer but what really sets sumo apart here is that yeah she believes those things but in all that too she's not dumb like other shows she still shpwsnher individuality in other ways yeah it maybe the last word for her but she isn't afraid to convey her POV when she seems they are necessary and that too being respectful and I applaud her for that . that for me is a mature character and a sensible one.

Your concerns are valid too....I think part of it is that Suman is an unconventional FL in some ways....the evolution of her equation with Shravan is not typical. They are both innocent in different ways from each other, so it's not the typical story of the way attraction and falling in love plays out in most stories. Here, they are both clueless about some things, not that self-aware about the shifts within themselves, and the cause for those shifts.

Like with Shravan, it's puppy love in many ways with how he's approaching trying to "impress" Suman...even if his feelings otherwise may be deepening to something more meaningful. Like take Friday's scene for example....Shravan otherwise claims to be dying to be near Sumo and win her over....but in a moment of intensity, when he came closer to her to make his point about how he's not a "bewakoof", it was almost like things got too real and deeper than he expected, so he totally stepped back from her and turned away to gather his composure. He only lightened up when she made the "khula button" comment 😆.....Shravan seems to be most comfortable when things are light and breezy.....but his attachment to Suman is deepening beyond his realization.

And on the other end, it's similar for Sumo, but in a slightly different way....her issue is that she is deliberately trying to be dismissive of him, but there are moments where she too feels affected and feels a deeper sense of awareness with him.

So right now, it's like a back and forth in this puppy love mode....but the scenes have these little snippets that show undercurrents of depth....that is what I hope to see built up in the long run.

I'm finding this whole "khula button" saga funny since Friday's epi only but today it got even more hilarious😆. There is something surprisingly innocent about the fact that Shravan thinks opening one button of his shirt will impress Sumo😆....the fact that Sumo also knows that it's that easy to trick him (playing to his vanity) and he still falls for it hook, line and sinker just adds to the hilarity😆

the whole saga part was truly hilarious...guess CVs are using this naiveness to show the contrast with his character in his army phase...

He really is like an eager puppy 😆....you can't help but smile over his eager antics, no matter how much he tries to smirk like a wannabe stud😆

Today's epi had a return of jugaadu Shravan once again....the one who knows how to forge his path even in the face of disrespect. OTT Brigadier was acting nasty with him as usual, but Shravan didn't let that faze him and managed to create his own place to sit in the group study. Vijay and his wife watching all this with a big smile from the balcony added a heartwarming touch to the scene. I'm glad they are returning back to more of the basic elements like Vijay seeing that promise in Shravan and trying to nurture it.....the AAG inside Shravan, as he likes to call it😆. I also liked that Vijay encouraged Shravan in the group study, pointing out that he's the only one who gave an introduction about his own abilities rather than boasting about his family background.

@B...I like this trait of Sharavan's character...during the army VS civilian inequality for drama contest also we saw his similar effort...part what happened to that drama...is that done...there is no mention of that post lockdown...

For all his goofy ways, Shravan then has these moments when he stumps everyone with a curious question....like when he asked why people inquired about his father's name for his school admissions and not his mother's, if family background matters that much. Vijay had no response😆

@B...at least not only Suman..they're showing some flaws in Vijay's characters too...what makes thing more reliable...

I don't know if I forgot to notice this before but the fact that Shravan calls Kanchan "Kancha" is so sweet....lol how quickly he's absorbed the closest relationships around Sumo.

The 'khula button' scene after the class got over was 😆.....the way Shravan popped open the button specifically Sumo ko dikhaane ke liye....and Sumo noticed and smiled, amused by his antics😆....to later, the way the scene flipped again when she told him to stop having expectations from her to wake him up early and snapped at him to close his button too😆. This back and forth they do between Shravan thinking he's "impressing" her, Sumo indulging him for a bit and then becoming stern again when she thinks she's given him too much leeway😆.....

Shravan might be the one flying high with expectations right now but I think Sumo will be in for a rude awakening of her own again when she realizes she's grown more fond of him than she is willing to admit😆. I hope in the process, she also learns to grow a mind beyond just viewing everything from her father's viewpoint. This robotic way of thinking that she has ki Papa ne bola din toh din, raat toh raat, Shravan mein aag toh aag😆....I hope she can grow beyond that.

So Shravan's next big challenge is to try and wake up at 5 am😆....and by the looks of the precap, kuch alag level ka plan banaya lagta hai 😆.....Let's see if he manages to turn up somehow tomorrow....lol

P.S. I'd forgotten that he's saved his dad's number as "Papa - ATM" in his phone🤣.....he really is such a pampered baccha😆

Yeah...I know.....Dad ATM & Mom Credit Card.....that's also another sort of equalities at least to the kids....🤣

Good Monday episode again....hope the show keeps up the pace in this group study track.

Once again a great analysis from you of this episode.....👍🏼

Good point. Yes, she does have a tendency to blindly believe many of the things her family tells her....but then as you pointed out, she is capable of acknowledging the truth if it's different from her preconceived notions too. In the tyre scene toh what was amusing me was her desperation to know if he can change a tyre for real😆.....like she badly wanted him to know that even if on the surface she kept cribbing that her Daadu must be right, he doesn't know how😆......

Mujhe yeh dono bacche lagte hain cute se😆....aur confused se....lol

With Suman, yes she can be very stubborn and stern sometimes, but overall I also like her character for having a sense of assertiveness and standing up for herself.

In the case of Suman, I think it’s still a journey for her and she has to be allowed that time and space for her opinion about Shravan to evolve. She’s a girl who hides a lot inside her in trying to stubbornly focus on her army-centric goals. Her calling Shravan “dumb” and “loser” is all part of the fact that she considers him a silly goof.

The traits that Sumo respects - trust, honesty, loyalty, maturity....Shravan’s track record is mixed on these things. So to me it seems like she still doesn’t know enough about Shravan to take him that seriously. It will take time. Right now she moves back and forth between being drawn to him and being disappointed whenever she thinks he’s being irresponsible. Inka aise hi evolve hoga slowly 😆

I don’t really think she is “using” him....it’s more like she’s cajoling him like a kid for now 😆...like you tell a kid he’s looking very smart to get him to agree to go out to a party 😆. She doesn’t know he loves her....she thinks he’s just a flirt 😆

Shravan already knows she considers him dumb 😆 so he will keep trying to prove himself to her but yes I’m sure they will have a confrontation at some point where Sumo may finally start taking him seriously.

@B.you described both of their state of mind...appropriately...I also don't believe using can be used towards Shravan...Suman does like Shravan...but may not be the same way...Shravan is thinking/expecting........after all it will take time to erase all memories she has of Sharavan pre lockdown episodes...

Oh I'm hoping that play/drama track will come back eventually if they resume the school track.....yeah, they haven't mentioned it post the lockdown, but I think some of these things - like the school play, badminton tournaments, a parade event in school....the makers are likely waiting to see how things are in the coming months in terms of precautions and then take a call accordingly about what tracks to pick up again.

Exactly. Suman's entire approach to 'liking' is different from Shravan anyways....so she will express it differently and take her own time with it. Right now, Shravan is flying high in his feelings so his expectations are also flying high. Suman is not in the same mindframe as him. And yes, I do feel that all of Shravan's antics pre-lockdown have formed an image in Suman's mind that she hasn't fully shaken off. They need to get to know each other better for her to move past it.

This bit when Shravan made his hero waali entry to the Group Study😆....and Sumo's biiig grin of happiness😆

Even after this, Sumo wants to claim that she was only happy here for her dad's sake? Ok sure😆
