Influencer Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, has finally spoken about his fallout with actor Sara Ali Khan, bringing her mother Amrita Singh into the conversation and describing his experience as traumatic.
Orry and Sara were once seen together frequently at parties and public events. Their sudden distance became evident after Orry shared a reel that appeared to take a dig at Sara, following which she and her brother Ibrahim Ali Khan unfollowed him on Instagram.
Addressing the issue in an interview with Hindustan Times, Orry claimed that maintaining a friendship with Sara was no longer possible. He said, "Pretending to be friends with Sara means pretending to be ok with the trauma her mother put me through and I just don't think I can do that anymore."
He also clarified the social media unfollowing. Orry stated, "I unfollowed Sara a while ago.. and I haven’t followed Ibrahim in years," suggesting the online reaction came much later than assumed. Orry further addressed accusations that he mocked Sara’s acting career. He maintained that his comment was meant as a joke and not a personal attack. According to him, it was unlikely that Sara was even offended by the remark.
Continuing with another indirect dig, Orry said, "The whole internet makes fun of Sara’s movies all the time.. her biggest body of work is a series of memes that she’s delivered via movies.. people make fun of me being jobless all the time.. it’s not that deep." When asked about the possibility of reconciliation, Orry left the door slightly open. He said, "If Amrita Singh were to apologise I could maybe see myself letting it go in the future."
Shortly after Orry’s remarks gained traction online, Sara shared a cryptic Instagram Story. She posted a birthday wish for a friend using a collage of vacation photos from their time together. She added Vikram Sarkar’s Naam Chale to the Story, highlighting lyrics that read, "Khulle Se Khate Na Padte Hisaban Mei Masti Mei Rehte Hum Rehte Na Yadan Me Ek Life Mili Baby Jee Rey Swadan Me Talented Balak Na Padte Vivaadan Me." The post sparked speculation but she offered no direct response.
