If they would’ve chosen original story like chhichhore, they would’ve had a chance of being picked. Nepotism is strong here. They mocked sushant for everything but he was a one man army without anybody supporting him, his talent remained. I still wish this didn’t happened to him.

RS is mocked

even if they both mocked, huge difference between their struggles, sushant started it out as a background dancer than tv than movies- rs started out doing gigs for a show or something with famous actress and then debut in a film with big banner. Rs invited to all shows, parties or events from the beginning til end. You mean to tell me the rs guy who grew up with all the star kids, cousin of famous actress and was invited to all the parties before even debuted has same experience as sush?

Anyways it’s just my opinion that I never supported ranbir or Ranveer but they both great actor doing great work, I am just not a fan of them. From the young generation I loved sushant, liked kartik and ayushmann but now that sushant died, I don’t have any favorite from the young generation. I’ll still watch kartik or ayushmann movies but not going to be like a fan of them. But of course I still love the older generation of actors.

People like Akshay Kumar only mock them.He has openly said that whoever says they prep for long are lying.Yes Ranveer is also mocked but only when he goes a bit overboard in explaining his prep.Otherwise I remember everybody bashing Akshay and praising Ranveer when he said it’s all a lie.Hardly anyone supported him and said it is only bcoz he himself never preps for any role he is mocking. The larger audience always always respects the effort and hard work of an artist.

There’s a reason why Amir is who he is today. The respect his name commands is for a reason.

I am Not comparing anyone with anybody. 🤦🏼‍♀️

RS went overboard with mentioning his process and his wife has a name , Deepika who has repeatedly mentioned that she doesn’t like to talk about the process. Everyone has a different approach to things. But he was mocked.

What I don’t appreciate is belittling and mocking for the hardwork someone puts in to better their craft.

More importantly, coming from people from same field who understand in and out of the process is quite surprising and disheartening.

Thats not acting for me, I can't appreciate it. I don't mock them but I do call out such behaviour cause I find it necessary to speak on this issue.

Agreed.

The way Christian Bale went to unhealthy weight in The Machinist and The Fighter and then for Vice must be hard on his body and not good for his health. Same goes for Chris Hemsworth who only ate an apple for In the Heart of the sea.

Gosh.. my topic is not about insider and outsider struggle. It’s about the process of their work .

Everyone is an insider (working in movies ).

The sincerity towards their work and dedication is the topic.

Ranveer was mocked for mentioning his process and in the interview I posted , SSR was too as per Anupama.

The topic is about how people working in the industry do not repsect someone trying to better their craft when they should be supporting and respecting it because they understand better than others.

method or natural at the end it shouldn’t matter if it’s believable onscreen. In some movies some actors are extremely good and guess what most actors who really did everything to get that part right what is called now „method“ acting is their most memorable performance and are Most likely in the run for the Oscar. It’s what even got Leonardo DiCaprio at the end the Oscar.

there is a section who is interested how actors prep for certain roles and there is nothing wrong with it when they talk. In Hollywood they talk freely about their process cause it’s their job and passion while in Bollywood some behave like it’s a sin to talk about it.

An actor is an actor doesn’t matter in which industry they are if they are passionate they will do whatever it takes to get the role right. No need to put down Bollywood.

Actors in a theater prep too and it doesn’t mean just because they don’t have a large crowd that it’s not worthy to do so.
