And she grew in Mathura with great amount of freedom and was educated like a boy.
Her given name was Kuhu, meaning new moon. Either she was dark as new moon or she was born the new moon after Krishna when the exchange happened or both. She was somehow simultaneously the daughter of Nanda and Angirasa. She carried out Krishna's missions for him.
This info is from HV and MBh, not folktales. Folktales from Orissa call Subhadra Ekanamsa, but Subhadra was a minimum of 11 years younger than Krishna. If you don't believe in magic, the only person who fits that description is Panchali. It also explains the obvious affection between the two.
Wasn’t Draupadi younger than Krishna?
How could someone exchange Baby Krishna with Baby Draupadi?
I am assuming exchange here meant Kansa assumed the baby was Krishna and for this they have to be of same age
