Let us first start representing all types of Indians (and Southeast Asians)...then we can talk about foreigners.

It doesn't matter she is still fair skinned that's why she has been taken in songs !

TM is talking about ethnicity and not geographical identity.

Nora is Arabian, not African. Plus she is Canandian in terms of nationality.

Indians racist?! Probably, may be!

But the reason we don't have diversity in movie is because India itself doesn't have "blacks" as minorities unlike that of America!

If society starts looking diversified, movies will start to reflect the same. More than racism, Indians may not be able to accept non-Indians as Heroes and Heroines is because they can't relate for now!

Indians can still accept South Indians as Heroes/Heroines because they are still high on the scale of relatability - while not the same when it comes to "Blacks"!

[Meynag Chang in Badmaash Company is closest we have gotten in terms of "East Indian" representation (-tho he's a Mumbaiyya) - Also Meyang had a good fan following during his Indian Idol stunt, so East Asians do have a chance if they are presented and given good offers]

So depending on how diverse our society gets, movies will mirror it accordingly!

I just know there are list of actresses who are not Indian origin who are either items girls or leading role heroines who are Arabic, Canadian, British, American and etc, and it's been going on since the beginning of Bollywood but yes of course they are fair skinned who look like they can be Indian so that is why they were accepted.

Off topic but I still think Mahesh Babu could’ve been huge in Bollywood. Ranveer/Ranbir can’t do things like this

BW does not give chance to Indians itself. If you see carefully its consisting of mostly 1 or 2 states. And they will give chance to anybody thats fair complexion but no they wont to african or east asian as they make fun of them in most movies. But bw is a representation of society. Will indians and other desis accept blacks and east asians?? I dont think so. Desi people are known to be racists.

If popular actresses in Bollywood have faced racism due to the color of their skin, forget African. Thats sad racism exist everywhere. It needs to stop

East Asians yes, Asians are considered beautiful worldwide and they're pale so they'll be accepted. Africans? No chance.
