In countries like America among others white people are almost a minority if not they're going to be soon. They have to take in more diversity in terms of actors to represent stories that are a reflection of society. India still mostly consists of Indians. But if they need diversity for a film then why not.

Blacks are traditionally concentrated in cities, which is why they appear to be more in numbers than they actually are, which is around 12%.

What many are surprised to find is that the Latino population has increased to overtake blacks as the biggest majority!!

Indians usually like to live in ghettos and so they might get the impression that non-whites are greater in numbers than they actually are! 😊

I don’t think Bollywood will accept East Asia either because they seem to be obsessed with big eyes. They have small eyes. Even in Hollywood it’s small percent of East Asian being represented because not a lot of people could relate since it’s mostly other race there.

Just the K pop make up plastic surgery pretty boys though. I mean, pretty make up plastic boys are emasculated regardless of nationality, just look at Cristaino Ronaldo in early days, Justin Beiber and all of those boy band dudes.

I mean nobody will try to emasculated Tim Kang or Tony Jaa or Jackie Chan or Bruce Lee.

People have harmful stereotypes about Indian guys too that they're all creepy etc. So Asian and Indian guys have to deal with this stuff in the west or even on the internet if they talk to western people.

How about focusing on getting proper Indian representation first before venturing into representation from other countries and races?

India itself has so much diversity and talent that has unfortunately not been tapped into. High time that Bollywood starts to recognise that it is not superior in terms of content to any other Indian industry (even though it brings more money and worldwide recognition) and that it should bring out more stories about India (which is beyond Mumbai / Delhi etc)

I think it’s changing a bit for indians with ppl like Dev Patel, Hassan Minhaj, Riz etc but east Asians still lack representation. Marvel’s Shang chi might the Black panther for Asians 😆
