No she wasn’t the first choice. Kjo and Alia definitly approached Zoya for her next and she offfered her that role when she finished the script.

Zoya Said Hersfeld that it was the first time that her first choices Said yes to the film.

So she also forced her way into Udta Punjab and KJo and SRK got her Dear Zindagi.

Kitne araam se these people say 'I know someone else was ON BOARD'. So it was a done deal. Then pray why were there talks of having her take over a role already given to someone else.

Itna hi interest hai toh tell KJo what kind of films you wanna do, source a script and do it man.

M really interested to know how the whole industry knows about the characters in a film and which ones they want before they are even approached for it? Script baant dete hai kya sabme.

There were reports that Sushant wanted a character in Sadak 2 and lobbied for it, but didnt get it. Inko script kaun deta hai? I am sure if Shraddha was in the movie. She wouldn't have received any awards for it anyway. They would have made it openly apparent that it was literally a 15 minute role. Shraddha had a lot to do in Stree. But everyone said she was just a glam doll??

I guess you're right, it's just that Katrina was in a really bad phase at that time and she needed those kind of films that would help her out.

It might have been weak but my point was she was more than a glam doll. Alia was more of a flower pot in Gully Boy.
