For me bollywood is india, bollywood is life , bollywood only matters lol

It is getting so bad that now I don't even want to bash Ranveer and instead I want to support him....kya haal ho gaya hai mera...🤔 😲

Its not Ranveer...its us who have become tone deaf....that we refuse to sometimes take things at their face value...but try to look for things that were not even meant ...we imagine it...and then we bash them...

Mat karo aise.....otherwise...no one will pay attention...when these celebrties will actually do something wrong....aur celebrities bhi bash ho ho kar chikna ghada ban jaayenge....nothing will affect them...because everyone will be bashed for everything.

I heard Indian ppl are stupid n treat stars as gods n do pooja of them 😂

Like I said, regardless of how corrupt- can you completely deny that they are the reason the world is still thriving? Bash the bad ones but bashing the entire institution will never be supported, if you are looking to create an awareness!

the world is thriving? which world? even if it is, it is because majority of the population are law abiding not because police are great upholder of law and order..

we have seen how corrupt police are in US.. they would be worse in India.. it takes a certain type of personality to want to be a cop ...

Only exaggeration is pretending 99% police are duty-bound individuals. 😆

more like a rotten orchard, not a few bad apples...

People are just looking to get offended. Twitter, especially, is one such place where people are having constant breakdowns.

I don't think there is anything tone deaf about his post, he was just talking about it's re-release in Australia. 🤔

But yeah, if people want to get offended, go ahead.

I don't know. I guess the first question we have to answer is whether you think the tone right now is negative perception of police and police brutality? Then we can answer whether it is tone deaf or not.

I don't really blame Ranveer. If his movie is releasing he has to promote it. I don't think he is so honorable and selfless that he would say anything negative that would make people not want to watch his movies.

I'm always so shocked and embarrassed by how easy it is to bribe the police in India.

That’s what happens when you give too much responsibility to another person/institute while you refuse to take any yourself...With responsibility comes a lot of power which they can misuse if the citizens just want to keep on operating from within their comforts...Law abiding? Participating in bribing is not Law abiding btw...Change is needed, but for that people who are asking for the change have to educate themselves, empower themselves and be a part of that change...Its easy to sit on these social media handles and diss people and complain about this and that...But what are you actually doing to address those complaints? If the answer is nothing, then I am sorry to say but nothing will change!

Actually, desi people need to get offended AND they need to get offended, more often. Desis are the worst offenders when it comes to making tone deaf remarks and lacking self-awareness in general. They literally call people fat, thin, dark, pale and god knows what else, to their faces. They have no qualms about making insensitive comments to their own family members about being married, not being married, getting divorced, not having any children, having only female children, children being married to someone of another religion or caste. The list goes on forever. We all know this because we are all desis, does not matter what part of the world we live in. I mean it's over the top psycho shit.

I am so glad this generation everywhere is wreaking a total havoc by taking their pain and anger to social media. Collective outrage creates change. Why else would that company change Fair and Lovely's name otherwise? I mean it's been fair and lovely since before I was born. They always knew it was wrong. But they change it now, because they want to avoid international backlash.

As far as the OP is concerned, I have no expectations from this husband-wife duo. They're both experts at making tone deaf comments.

This is so true ! 😆

It is our reality .. But I didnt know non- desi people were unlike desi .. Do they not call people fat, thin , dark , pale , divorced , not having children , married to another caste / race / ethnicity etc etc ? .. Is it because they genuinely dont care or they are more sensitive towards other people's feelings ? .. we do have our problems but i thought it is the same ( or in some cases even worse ) elsewhere ..

OT : I think the OP is trying to look for issues where there isn't one .. You dig deep enough and you might as well find one .. But the question is - is that how we want to operate ? .. Trying to look for problems until we find one ? .. Aren't there enough real world problems already ? .. Lets focus on that may be ? .. Lets focus on police brutality for what it is instead of focusing on something as trivial & as irrelevant as the OP ..

LMAO! Your post isn't really connected to the issue at all.

An actor promoting a movie is worth getting offended over? That is the thing that *this generation* is going to get offended by? That's his job, he is going to do it.

Get offended all you like, but direct your offensive energy towards the things that really matter.

Sorry, I am not in this witch hunting of one of the most under paid, under appreciated duties and thankless job in the world. Especially not from those who have excuses and justification for the terrorists.

This !!!! yes what happened in the south was brutal and they deserve punishment.......doesnt mean we should start killing all the police officers like the USA protest........

but after all this is what i expect from the TM.........always ready to bash Indian system.......though i didnt see her bashing Sonia and Rahul Gandhi for taking donations from CCP who is encroaching upon our territory now....

@bold : perfect statement 👏
