Request to forum on SSR's cause of death

I think we all can agree that SSR's passing away has impacted a lot of us, and deeply at that.

On this forum, I've seen a lot many people dismiss claims that nepotism caused SSR's death by, ironically, blaming his death on his supposed mental disorder (depression). It's true that we won't know whether nepotism killed him or not, but then, likewise, we can NEVER know whether depression killed him.

..Whether he had depression.

..Whether he even took his own life. Yes, that is also a possibility! And I've been considering it a lot.

My request to you would be to not state as a fact that it was a suicide and was caused by a mental disorder or nepotism or XYZ. We should keep all possibilities open. In my mind, that would be just.

Thanks!

I think the best would be if we stopp speculating about his death at all, since we will probably never find out the truth. Therefore we should let his soul rest in peace.

I think people are free to express their opinions. Even if some people write garbage of the lowest quality, the freedom of speech must prevail. Twitter and YT "wars" are even worse.

I get that emotions are raw though, and it's making a lot of people more defensive than usual, and some are taking things personally. You can always pick and choose the posts that stand out and ignore the trolls or those who're only around to talk trash thankfully.

How about people stop speculating and making up stories to fit their narrative. Wait for police to make an official announcement instead to falling for every new rumors or article.Stop sharing disturbing details that prove nothing 🙏

I think to each his own. There are multiple ways this tragedy has affected us.

Some, like me, are furious at the coterie culture that attacks outsiders via blinds & PR, all the while understanding that may not be the reason this tragedy occurred.
Some are jolted into action on spreading awareness about depression.

I don't think there is anything wrong about speculating his death.

I think we should let everyone process this in their own way. My only request was to not explicitly state the reason for his death (seeing too many posts where the author is 100% sure depression caused this, or that it was SSR's decision to end his life).

Point is in India people will not discuss the facts. If there was severe depression than it would affect his work ethic. Going by the quality of his work in Kedarnath and Chichore his work quality was great. Going back to Abhishek Kapoor written piece his work ethic was still beyond amazing. He use to carry Sara on his back everyday without complaining. People in depression don't have beautiful moments like Shraddha described of everyone going to his house and getting to the moon through his telescope? People in depression want to be left alone. We had never heard of anyone talking about his depression before hand? He didn't tell anyone?

There will be no CBI inquiry. The police wanted us to accept that it was a suicide since day 1. God know how much evidence they had back than. Fair enough! I just don't get how it is doing justice to his soul if there was someone who wronged him (def Rajive Masand) to go scott free!
