Who decides what are "trivial issues" for suicides?! You?!

One of my friends' brother attempted suicide because he was not allowed to go to a school picnic, he cut his wrist and his family somehow saved him, when later asked why he did it, he said, so that when he dies, his parents will regret it.

In my neighborhood, one of guys drank phelyne because of his mother not allowing him to marry a girl, my dad carried that guy in this back to the cab. And now that guy is no longer with that girl, is married to another girl. And he isn't suffering from depression either.

And there are thousands of such cases where people commit suicide for trivial reasons, because they don't value live. It is not always about mental illness. The cases I said about, those people were saved, but there are many times young boys and girls loose their lives because they can't be saved in time.

I know time is not right, everyone is upset, sad and angry, but I am not talking out of my ass, in young age many people don't value life and family, and addressing them is not being insensitive to those who are really suffering from mental issues.

That's the thing naa Thug, you may feel it's trivial but the one who attempted suicide may not feel the same!

You can't really decide what's trivial or otherwise unless you're the one going through it!

And yes you can address the young minds, you can support them, you can guide them but there's a way to go about it. You have to word it appropriately otherwise it's a lost cause and you end up contributing to the same stigma!

Frankly speaking having read many posts on the forum, mental awareness hasn't even touched the surface given so much of misconception about depression, suicide and other mental illnesses is being thrown around!

Just as Akshay's video had many good pointers even if an old video doesn't mean it can't be criticized for some of his wrong approach to how he views depression and those who are suicidal!

Suicide for trivial issues is being discussed, there is thing self harm can be impulsive , and it is usually seen in personality disorders, it is not that these people don't have any issues and are in perfect mental health.

Anyone trying to take ones life unless by accident, are not in good mental health and need evaluation.

Dying for the country- is an irresponsible statement , if all you want is to harm your self then you should not be anywhere near the defense forces!
