How is Chaebol female lead like anyone outside Korea? 😆The story line doesnt make sense at all. She would have been shot the minute she stepped foot in NK.

Oh I hated the Korean version. Though I did love Hana Yori Dango (Japanese) and Meteor Garden (2001 Taiwanese adaptation). But I found that Lee Min Hoo’s characterisation of Domyouji/Go Jun Pyo was the most hilarious compared to the others. The heroine though was unbearable 🤢

Almost everyone here on IF dropped it lmao..I guess I'm the only one who loved it 😆 First few episodes were refreshing and fun to watch. I agree that they kinda dragged it in the end but I'm a hopeless romantic and wanted to see leads together☺️

Apart from LEAD'S AMAZING CHEMISTRY, the show had a great supporting cast. Captain Ri's squad and NK ahjummas were my fav.

This thread right here sums up my thoughts on CLOY

Also, this review is ❤️

I won't say it is THE BEST drama out there but it is definitely one of the great shows. I'm glad the show got all the attention and ratings that it deserved. 🥳

So I saw CLOY for the first time a few weeks ago and I loved it. I will have to agree that it definitely dragged once the South Korea scenes started. But I was really impressed with Hyun Bin & Son Ye Jin, and the quality of the writing and cinematography in this as I've never watched Korean dramas before.

Ohh theres a thread

This show brought me outta drama slump. I do agree it has those kdrama cliches, nothing unique, yet every episode is thoroughly entertaining except for the last episode which stretched for 2hrs.

And the heart breaking second lead story smiley13

They gave a deeper look to North Korean rural society of traditional kimchi cellars, drinking soju from shells, train stalling for hours due to power cut, steam bath, straining coffee beans. Its interesting to watch !!

My fav is those North Korean four member unit, they charmed throughout 😃

Watching HB after a long time woke up the fangirl in me

I finished it . Poor Seo Dan, she got the raw end of the stick at the end . I cried when Seungjoon died 😭 . My favorite characters were the four soldiers.

So there is a thread for CLOY. Will post my review here too.

Completed 'Crash Landing On You' after learning about its hype.

I felt it was an okay show. Cinematography is amazing. Plus, production value is quite high. May be all k-drama have that but I am encountering it first as I am new to them.

The leads were very fine actors but that being said, I felt they lacked chemistry. I mean they looked blandwitheach other but may be that were just how the characters were written. I fast forwarded a lot of their scenes..... A LOT of their scenes

I was quite interested in the village-ladies and north-korean soldiers and their antics. They added a nice comic element to the show. Also, the dynamics between them was nice. Their acting was also pretty spot-on.

Also, I found South Korea scenes pretty boring so skipped them a lot. They were a lot stretched than deemed necessary.

*Spoiler*

I was seriously rooting for Seo Dan and Seung Jun. Felt so bad when he died especially when he wanted to be a better man for Seo Dan. I could feel the relief that he felt when he knew that someone was there to cry after his death. Also, I felt so bad for Seo Dan. Somehow, in all this she didn't get her due. The man she liked fell in love with someone else and the man she likes now, died. It left a desire that may be they should have got a bit more of screen time so that I could enjoy their good acting acting and good chemistry.

Overall watching this show an okay experience. But it raised the bar of Production values I expect from k-dramas. Also, I realised that I will be expecting good acting from the future K-dramas I watch as I felt all the actors in this show were quite good at what they do.
