Sighs... I am guilty of it too. I used to find Sushant wannabee-ish during Raabta times, and criticized him a few times for dumping Ankita and dating his costar Kriti.

Then there was a period when the bad press regarding him was unprecedented. There were a slew of negative blinds regarding him, about his feuds with bigshot director-producers, and his misbehavior with his co-actresses. Then there was a furore during MeToo about him and his fault in our stars actress.

I bought into 80% of these rumors. I thought there could be no smoke without fire. We still dont know for sure if all the rumors were 100% true or false. But boy, if they were false, I can imagine how much it must have broken Sushant.

Especially the rumors about his misbehavior with women. Thats a slander on someone's character and integrity.

I wonder if all these people, Shekhar kapoor, sikander, anubhav sinha, ranvir shorey etc etc knew about these wicked games, why didnt they speak up about it before???? While Sushant was alive? Why didnt Sushant himself take a stand on it? Did he just resign to the fact that noone from the industry would stand by his side?😒

Your post reminds me of Parag Tyagi’s « your death gonna change everything for the outsiders now » or « bring a change » something alone those lines. Parag was Sushant’s colleague from Pavitra Rishta and they were quite close to each other.

yeah, we need to support and encourage the talented people more and more instead of someone just because (s)he is daughter of/son of x y z.

as it is, I never watched the so called star kids Hit movies as I usually find the trailer itself very mediocre, except some Shraddha movies. I am not against insiders as long as they’re talented enough go get all the accolades they get.

Out of the 10 movies of SSR you mentioned, I watched 7 of them and he has given stellar performances. No trace of Sushant. Only the character. As he said, it was a mean to escape from his harsh reality and thus he completely became the character he played.

I love his 2 serials, Kis Desh and Pavitra Rishta. I’ve seen him growing from day 1. As my personal life (marriage, pregnancy, baby,..) took my free time over, I didn’t have the time anymore to come on forums and support him so openly, Nor to message him daily like I used to, and I do regret it and feel guilty 💔

On topic, I never believed the blind items, I rarely read them.

We do not go looking for news and stuff, we lap up what is fed to us. There is obviously more of these star kids' stuff that is going around, so there is going to be more discussion about them, and we'll hear more about them, too.

Don't forget the power of suggestion. For instance, if you're told long enough and hard enough that Alia is Meryl Streep, you'll start believing she is. Or at least start thinking of her as a cut above the rest. N it works in her favour.

Spot on, this is exactly how its played out

This is how they remove someone from the screen and from the industry.

Thank you for this post... In retrospect of his filmography... can’t believe he has such a beautiful track record... and yet he was deprived of appreciation in the industry... if a nepo kid had the track record he would be hailed as the next big thing in the industry...

coming to PR machinery, yes I fee like people shouting 24x7 and posting articles in every forum or blog about nepo kids and how wonderful they are and the best thing that has happened to the industry... Smar campaigns against any outside threat, vile articles, blind stories to deflect their success...

I think we as people shud change this nepo weather by not accepting any non talent that has been thrusted down our throats... social media can go both ways, PR machinery or the people voice...

Sushant’s incident has scarred many of us and it’s very uncomfortable to accept what he did and what he went through... I sore of having such a brilliant movie history...

so it does seem like there was some internal politics/PR game systematically played against him to undermine his success/future job prospects..

yes looks like there is
