Could Rani or Preity have done Jodhaa Akbar?

Rani would have looked more authentic.She has the earthy indian/Rajput look.

Aish ..tall,fair,green eyed ..looked Persian.

The film would have been a bigger hit-because it would have felt real.

Preity would have ruined it.Rani would be ok ok..she would have acted very well too.But then the aura that Ash’s beauty creates would be missing.No doubt her acting was in point too.

Like the feel of the whole song “Man Mohana”where Akbar sees Jodha for the first time n falls for her(I love the awkwardness cum xcitement of both characters in that song).I can’t imagine the song generating same intensity had Rani been Jodha.

And Hrithik-Ash anyday over Hrithik-Rani.

Aish's body language and grace were perfectly suited for Jodha. Rani would have acted well. Im not sure if the chemistry with Hrithik would have been the same. The one film they did together MDK flopped. Preity would have neither suited the part acting wise nor did she look the part.

Nope. Ash nailed the regal body language exuding confidence (which was completely different in Guru) the poise and the subtle glances/expressions, and was every bit believable as a queen. Plus, the insane chemistry.

Rani is a great actress, so would have got the acting technicalities right but wouldn't have worked even half as well as Ash did. Ash has immortalized it.

A lot of Rajput queens were indeed tall, fair. About Green eyed, Aishwarya wore brown lenses in the movie. I thought Ash's casting in the movie was absolutely spot on.

I'm sure with someone like Aish being in the scene the audience could predict exactly what might go on in the head of a heterosexual male in his prime. Aish can make certain roles magical with her beauty. In same way Rani made Black magical with her talent. And nobody would want her replaced in that.

But I don't think she would have been able to give the kind of aura which Ash did - the sublime beauty which was projected as the main reason why the lead was attracted to her.

Some roles require a certain kind of body language and physicality just as much, if not more, than acting skills. And Ash was perfect in those aspects.

It wasn't the primary reason. She had the courage to ask for her religious rights. She had the courage to tell him he was wrong. She had the courage to stand up to his nanny. She wasn't all over him like many other woman. There were many reasons but the looks def lead to the attraction.

She would have done Better, Aish spoiled it badly. Aish can only do Dhoom 2 kind of roles, not this one.

Preity is a horrible dancer but I loved her bubbly personality, so sad how she messed her face with Botox
