Yeah a total wtf on the prostitute role comment. Rani is a fantastic actress and she can look regal.

As for the movie, Rani without a doubt could've played the role but it wouldn't have worked the way Jodha Akbar worked. She doesn't have that chemistry with Hrithik. Aish and Hrithik are both so good looking that they make any scene come alive. I have seen Hrithik with Rani in MDK and they look very odd together.

Ash was perfect and the answer is no , opposite hrithik ,Rani would have acted well but the magic would be missing .

Now replace hrithik and put SRK , now imagine SRK plus Rani , it would have been magical :)

rani is a fine actress she can do.

preity wont be convincing as her body language is too modern and she aint a great actress.

SRK would have hammed so much and mess up with the script!

Ash is blessed with a great height (which both PZ & Rani lack), sharp facial features and through Jodha she brought in a great Royal aura as if the role of a Hindu-Rajput princess was tailor-made exclusively for her. Preity is more suitable for bubbly kind of roles and i can never picture her in something like Jodha. While Rani might be a great actress but i doubt if she could have brought in the same impact as Ash did. Also Hrithik-Ash's chemistry is sizzling and they were such great choices as Akbar and Jodha. Dont think anyone could have done justice to the role as much as they did.

Can one can play the character of a queen even Alia. We don't know whether jodha lady was beautiful or ugly. I found serial jodha actor better than Aishwarya

They could but it would be forgettable. The only reason its still remembered to this is because its Ash + Hrithik. They looked magnificent + they did a great job too.
