Kareena or Alia: the better actress?

Let's pit Alia against Kareena, her role model. Who is the better actress out of the two?

I don’t think the comparison at this point is really valid. If I had to compare both actresses during their debuting years then Alia started off her career as a pretty good actor. Kareena was absolutely awful in her initial years. Her ‘Mein Prem Ki Dewaani Hoon, Yaadein, Khushi and KKKG’ was so bad. It still gives me PTSD just thinking about her scrunched up facial expressions whenever she danced.

But with experience, Kareena’s acting abilities have increased and she is currently a very good actor. I would give Alia a few more years to polish her acting by experimenting in different roles before making a decision on who is the better actor overall.

Kareena had a worst start to her career, whereas Alia has never really had a cringeworthy role.

Both are extremely versatile and Alia has shown her versatility in a short time plan. And Alia is infinitely more hard working and she'll actually chase opportunities.

Both are great actresses.

Kareena is the legend, but Alia still has to get there. So in my roundabout way I'm saying Kareena, but I also love Alia. 😆

Highway was when I first started taking Alia seriously. And there was this one scene in Udta Punjab after which I started respecting her as an artist. She doesn't know that there exists no language called Bihari and yet was able to reproduce a credible accent in that scene.

The one where she has an outburst on Shahid. G##d phaadu performance 👏

That one scene pushes her slightly ahead of Kareena for me.

Romance, comedy and sex appeal mein I think Kareena is much better still. If at all Alia stops looking like a kid, and becomes hari bhari in all aspects, maybe she can redeem herself there.

Alia of course...She is a humble learner as well...Kareena, not much!

Kareena because her journey has had a graph. There’s been highs and lows.

With Alia everything is pre-constructed and manipulated so nothing ever deserves appreciation from her fake fame or media purchases success
