The comparison with abhi and Ranbir stops right there as you said. Then again every male lead is the same except the Rockstar but here they show Ranbir as a humble, patient, gentle guy amidst all that. You can see that he is not what he seems to be. In which serial has the male lead not fought with female lead for no real reason? Even in kdb they do. If you analyze the character properly you will realize that Ranbir is nothing like any of the other itv leads. Don't compare them superficially,in that case all serials are the same. For the sake of chemistry they make the leads argue and fall in love :3

As far as I remember he did get physical with her. He just didn't get her pregnant.

no.Tanu told Abhi that she is pregnant.so he told her that nothing happened between us then how did she get pregnant.so she told him that he doesn't remember that as he was drunk.but later it was revealed that it was not abhi who was with Tanu that night but nikhil.

later tanu again drugged abhi to get physical with him.but that also became a flop.
