Should have been fired after the Drive debacle. Gave the worst rep to Netflix India. And not just that. The primary team is managed by an ex BuzzFeed employee and all he does is employ other ex BuzzFeed people basically friends. They have rejected material from lots of homegrown desi stand-up comedians and the likes for their friends. Basically a bunch of friends working together and employing each other.

It might be blasphemy but I find most Netflix content to be pure garbage, not just Netflix India. They have a handful of flagship series and one or two movies they release for awards show contention but everything else is trash. They produce a lot of junk in order to have lots of content but it's mainly bad.

And Netflix India is another level of bad. Stuff like Drive and What the Love. Who the eff is watching stuff like Chopsticks and Yeh Ballet?

KJo only made a deal with Netflix last year and already pumped out Drive, Lust Stories, Ghost Stories, Guilty, and What the Love. 😳

Not blasphemy at all. The quality of Netflix shows have taken a dive. But they still have good international show tie ups. I feel Netflix shows have extremes. Too good and too bad. Some of the international programming is top notch while their main headquarters don't really have quality stuff.

Now with Apple and Disney coming in and Amazon breathing down its neck like it was last year, it will only get tougher for Netflix.

Netflix India though...is pure trash. There are hidden gems sure but majority of the stuff is low grade. And these are the ones which are much publicised because of KJo or star kids. Anything Bollywoodized ends up becoming trash and it's always KJo doing the honours. He's milking Netflix India finances dry. He and his gang of insiders lol. Execs at Netflix India want the publicity that come from having Karan on board but this is no longer the era of 'any publicity is good publicity'.

Anyway, now we have Kareena's Poo to look forward too. How lovely 😬
