So, Panga & Chapphak have flopped,d films of so called female superstars @deepikapadukone

@Rangoli_A(I know she checks this accounT), now can someone give Rani Mukerji some credit please. 40+ Married Actress with a Kid whose solo films are actually working at d BO.#hattrickofhits #Mardaani #Hichki #Mardaani2, ROI of her past films are above 100%.

If Kareena fans can scream from the rooftops about goodnews being a hit coz of her then Rani deserves much more credit since she is the only known face on the poster for all these films which were presented and marketed far less than the other solo lead heroine flops.

Still no Padmasree, no national award . :)

Lol none of the movies worked because of her non-existent star power. The movie scripts were nice and were marketed well by her husbands company.

Had she done a grime movie like Chapaak the movie wouldn't have gotten 10 lakh opening.

Exactly.

Last year Hicki was such a great performance and Rani barely got nominated. Her performance was way better than Gangu

When are we going to award more senior actresses? Sridevi had to die to get an award for Mom, we all knew how much better she was than Sulu movie ....so ridiculous

Mardaani 2 was grime fyi and had lower opening than Chapaak but it’s weekend and lifetime collections surpassed Chapaak’s due to positive WOM. Also, it was promoted less than Chapaak. Let’s not make things up .

Mardaani 1 and 2 were well made movies. They worked because the movie was good. It was nothing to so with Rani's BO pull. The lower opening says it all.

So why give Rani credit? She literally has an entire production house at her disposal bringing her the best of the best scripts with good marketing as well! That's why she only gets work from YRF. 🤣

Agree about the grim part but it was like a fast-paced thriller and nail-biting sequences. Chapaak was a slow, depressing movie. That's why it didn't click with the target audience.

Exactly minty! Had Rani done Chapaak it would have been out of the cinemas after the first show itself. Can't compare a thriller like Mardaani with Chapaak.

Even DP had the production house at her disposal since this was DP’s home production and had one of the best directors directing the movie then what happened ? Also, DP did lot more marketing by appearing at TV shows like Big Boss, promoting her movie extensively in social media, got tax-free status etc. Rani hardly did any of the promotions. Also, Rani is way past her peak now while DP’s last recent success was Padmavaat.

This, I agree. Movie content had an impact too here. I just don’t like why every time Rani has a successful movie it gets attributed to YRF only when she is one of the best actresses BW has ever produced.
