Kya items man ! 🤔 waha NM was doing OA without beard,yaha she is crying like Rudali..At this rate, i decided to not watch anything of their shows in future...NM chooses roles which dont suit him and end up embarrasing himself,SC toh is in her own delusion doing her chindi roles..But their fans keep praising shit whatever they do...Its quite laughable to see every person hailing NM's performance in the NKYBF tag...he was horrible in second episode..Its quite suspicious that even few articles hailing it as some master piece..not even there is single article can see his shortcomings? 🤔...it seems everyone including reporters/journalists of the articles likes NM offscreen toh ,they dont want to hurt him giving genuine reviews ? 🤔...Atleast for code-M, many articles point out its short comings...Even for great movies , i didnt see such hailing ..i'm seeing such hailing for this half baked script and half baked performance 🤔

yeah I saw SC insta story in the morning 😆.....it felt weird.....both her crying and those dialogues......atleast from what I have read in written update, she tells Sid that she will wait for him at mandap and that he should come when he tells her that they cannot get married owing to their different financial status...and then again she cries that he didn't come....I am not sure if this correct or not as I didn't come across those clips on insta but what I read from update...

Didn't realise when I read couple of reviews but what you said is true about the reviews of NYKGF...all the reviews said only +ve things about the series and not a single -ve thing has been mentioned....

any show has its high points and low points and there will always be certain things as a viewer that you don't like and things which have moved you....there is nothing called as perfect movie/show....there will be atleast some thing that is off or bad....

Even for Jamai Raja 2.0, some of the reviews matched my viewing experience...like how scenes felt disjoint, FL character issues, Achint Kaur's flat acting and so on....

edit: I read about 2-3 reviews only and I think they are either tweeted by Zee5 or NM or his fans....

About ADHM hangover, i felt it when i watched the trailer itself and mentioned in one of my posts earlier...Ranbir and Anushka were fab in that movie....

The book reviews mentioned about characters that don't have any depth and ppl who love to read something light breezy romance would like them...

Hope you are both well. Finally managed to get a little time to catch up! Hope you don't mind me jumping in again.

Just caught up with the NKYBF and SJ stuff. Thanks for your review Nihara. I did check the tag on Twitter and all the reviews appear to be positive. Obviously the NM fans would praise it to high heaven but there are a heap of neutral fans enjoying it. I cannot comment on the show itself as I don't have zee premium but I think where they have succeeded is they have pitched it perfectly. I watched a couple of NM's interviews and he has repeatedly said it's a simple story and a light, breezy watch. All the comments I read pretty much reflect that. I don't think the characters or story were ever meant to be complex. He did mention that If nothing else, you wouldn't hate it and ask for your money back. As you have proven him wrong, maybe you could message him and ask for your money back!!!

Coming on to Sanj, decided to have a catch up and now seriously wished I hadn't. No comments left on the story because that was ruined eons ago. However their depiction of depression is pretty darn poor. I wish ITV would just leave mental health alone instead of giving us such abysmal portrayals. Still feeling horrified over the PTSD storyline in IB and now we have the Ishaani the depressed giving it some stiff competition. Going to leave a comment on the SJ forum with my thoughts. Wish me good luck because the last time I did, was accused of being a hater. Just called out NK for being a poor actor and one of the scenes being sleazy. Both comments still stand true!

Managed to visit the SJ tag as well (had such a productive day!!!!). Such a feeling of deja vu there. SC is being accused by some fans of pushing out NK and getting more screen space for herself. Shes on a solo montage and fans are accusing her and the channel of not giving credit to NK. An absolute warzone! Remember NM being accused of the same during IB days. These fans really dont ever learn and everything really does come full circle!

I dont know anyone on twitter and where are those neutral NM fans and where they posted their reviews😆 ...I only checked out hashtag #Neverkissyourbestfriend..all i saw was hailing it as if it is some master piece or some Oscar worthy show...and their reactions were like "NM rocked,he is a rock star".."oh i watched 3 times, its so amazing"...and was hailing every aspect of the show...

I'm also a neutral fan of him bcz i liked him as SSO.Being a person who watched the show i can confidently say where NM was good and where he was bad, what are the shortcomings and also positives in the show...I was still being lenient while i was writing my opinion/review and i gave credit where it was due whether it is NM's acting or other aspects of the show..I was still being lenient when i gave 2.8 out of 5 😆..

i dont say i hated it...If you read my reviews about DIB, you understand how much i rant if i hate something ..😆...I find it boring rather than hating it . ofcourse i felt gross in second episode. While watching second episode , i ignored the fact that he was looking like "aged emaciated teenager", i ignored the fact that he was moving like a monkey with wierd expressions, but i couldn't ignore the lame content of that second episode which put me off...If anyone who doesnt know NM try to watch this show its quite unlikely that they continue watching beyond 2 episodes 😆.. If you want WU of second episode, let me know 😆...

Regarding NM's words in I.Vs, i wouldn't even call it a "story" it was a bunch a random scenes put together in a rich locations...😆

I dont even know what is the definition of " breezy" watch😆...If it means that it doesn't make you feel anything. You go through motions while watching it, then i agree that it is breezy watch..ofcourse removing that second episode which made me "feel" gross 😆...The ppl who " enjoyed" it...i would like to know what they "enjoyed" in the show...😆

Here in indiaforum, no one has watched it to know their reviews😆...I really like to know the reviews of india forum members...as i can directly ask them what they liked and what they didnt 😆..

^^ And also i want to add..I didnt expect any story / complex characters either...I started watching the show keeping low expectations and with open mind 😆..If it is only one hour or 2 hours, i could have watched it as breezy timepass watch ..it was frigging four hours.I watched few movies which had no stories but they were quite engaging while watching...

Story was not there, Upar se the actors are not Oscarworthy either to raise above the script or writing😆...when i say this, i dont even blame Anya singh here, she was one of best part in the show..She tried her best within her character..but even good actors can't do anything when there is nothing substance wise..Even for light breeze watch, you need good writing if not the story, They can write good dialogues, woh bhi average hai 😆...infact few dialogues were gross (second episode😆) ...Regarding NM, he is not a great actor either to raise above the script, actually he spoiled many scenes with his overacting 😆...

I am yet to watch NKYBF...don't have time to watch next 2 weeks...also after reading reviews of books and watching the trailer, it didn't excite me much....but will give it a try....these days i have become too particular in terms of content.....😁

yes the reviews on twitter are positive only not only from his fans but some neutral fans.....I think its not the fans reactions that Nihara was talking about..its these SM journos who do review all the content.....since i read only the ones retweeted by Zee5Premium and by NM fans, they are seemed positive. But after reading what Nihara posted, then I searched in google and found reviews which told about the positives and negatives in the show....

it was pretty much evident that there isn't much of the story or complex characters in the series...its just the journey of Sumer&Tanie from friends to lovers and since its shot in this beautiful city of London, the cinematography seems really good.....also its good that they changed the ending in the show... Some how when I read about ending of the book, it didn't sit well with me.....where Sumer sleeps with Tanie after expressing love and then kills himself next day bcoz he has cancer and doesn't want Tanie to have heartbreak....

Wisal did you really expect ITV dramas to portray mental health as close to reality as possible ? and all we get is the over dramatized version of any real life issue....bcoz the channels, the writers and producers believe that these are things that are going to fetch them trps and in a way they might be true too...if you see all the trp fetching soaps on ITV, none of them deliver even 5% of decent content...and on top of it Star is too much trp hungry...so they interfere a lot with the writers/producers to alter story lines in the hope of getting numbers....and PTSD from IB was same too, the over dramatized version...although in case of Shivaay, it was also the fact that he was deep in guilt for killing his bade papa plus the PTSD of being in jail....

In English shows, characters suffering with PTSD, depression, with high stressful jobs,with obsessive tendencies etc are shown talking to shrinks, trying to get help and coming in terms with they are going through and this is not a one time activity...In real life, its a on going process..for some it takes months to heal and for some it takes years...I hope ITV changes for better and work on good content...

about fan wars, yes I did come across the comments that you have mentioned and same feelings....what happened with NM when leap was announced is happening with SC now....in no way actors are responsible to what is happening with story lines, montages etc...neither was NM then nor SC is now...but who cares as fans are busy slitting each others throats in the name of supporting their faves.....NK fans are no less ..they have been digging the old tweets of SC/Shivika fans who have accused NM of throwing SC out of the show and now the screen shots of those tweets are being circulated 🤦‍♀️ Do you think fans should have learnt something from IB fiasco and now what is happening with SJ? Nahi...the fans whose tweets screen shots are being circulated are now hailing themselves for being so famous that their tweets are being talked about...😒 No one will learn anything....these fans will still continue to accuse NM of being responsible for throwing out SC from IB and from now NK fans will accuse SC of taking all limelight from NK and being responsible for throwing him out of the montage...

I saw one tweet with montage captioning, SC earned it....these kind of tweets only fuel fan wars....and then i saw war of words exchange between NK fans and SC fans with that tweet as base....NK fans calling SC as overacting ki dukhaan and SC fans calling out NK as expression less.....🥱

tbh, no fandom has only sane fans and its a fact and fans should acknowledge that...there will always be certain fans in every FD who spew only venom and will be responsible for these fan wars...those certain set are the ones who initiate these wars and the others simply join the bandwagon in the name of defending their faves....its like that vicious circle and this will go on and forever.....

I read one thread where war of words were being exchanged between NK and SC fans....SC fan accusing that NK fans are spewing hate on SC's posts just bcoz she is on montage where as when IB fiasco happened, they(SC fans) never did such a thing for NM or his posts....I could only laugh at those tweets bcoz I remember reading the hate on of NM IG posts and by god the hate was so much that i was disturbed and then realised that celebs are used to getting so much hate and they have learnt to live with that and I stopped reading any fans comments on either NM or SC posts or any celeb posts...

the girl in question didn't vouch for herself...she vouched for entire FD that they never did such a thing which is absolute false..we have seen the amount of conspiracy theories and hate that was spread during the leap....this is where as a fan you need to acknowledge that no FD has only sane fans.....so vouching for yourself is fine but don't vouch for entire FD....

anyways every day fans find new ways to start FD wars...so nothing new...yeah but yes life did come come as full circle from IB to now SJ.....😂 After reading those tweets, I only laughed at the irony of the situation....😁
