With the kind of characters that Alia has played earlier, this one with Gangubai Kathiawadi is already getting some not-so-great reactions. Only time will tell if the movie does well but Alia’s look clearly has not!

I like the other poster better.

This particular poster is really bad. She’s looking like a harmless little rabbit 🐇 with kohl eyes. It has zero impact.

The other poster- her full profile one I still liked a lot...probably that showcases her pre-gangster Gangubai period . She’s convincing in that one. But this is a disaster...I am very curious for the trailer.

Everyone in my group were talking about this poster and how good Alia is... this forum never reflects the actual people's sentiments!

I thought she looked pretty good. Why is she getting trolled? For not looking like Leela or Mastani or Nandini? But this is a diff kind of movie.

Alia annoys me in non-actress mode, but unnecessary trolling is making me want to support her.

If we go by the physicality of the character of GanguBai, Alia doesn't suit the part in my mind. I think this role would've been more suitable for Vidya Balan or even Rani Mukherjee. But it all comes down to the acting and overall portrayal so will save my judgements.
