Why Safeena Firdaus doesn't get hate like Kabir Singh?

Alia's character from GB was very violent. From beating up her own friends too but breaking bottles into the head of someone. She was extremely possessive and insecure of other girls as well. Why is she loved by a lot of these English speaking critics?

Cause she doesn't hit the man she loved.

P.S: I don't think we should discuss characters that aren't even real. Movies are for fun, Kabir Singh or Gully Boy.

i agree that safeena was violent, the stuff she did should not be excused, but i think the difference is that safeena's violence only came out coz of her possessives of murad, she wud only be violent to the girls that were flirting with him, she was a possessive girlfriend. Albina was flirting with murad by text, and kalki's character kissed him, so i understand safeena getting upset or even angry, but she should not have hit them, violence is never justified

With kabir he was a terrible person to everyone, he didn't even respect his own family, plus he was very horrible to the girl he loved, he slapped her and put her down, he held a knife to a girl and told her to take off her pants, he was drinking while doing operations which is very dangerous, he chased his maid down the road, and his actions were misogynistic, so i think thats why kabir singh got the reaction that it did, it really touched a nerve with women who have had similar experiences with such men in their lives
