The ridiculousness of ur post lies in the fact that you praised a HINDU women who will not face the same wrath of being called an outsider , a Pakistani and a deshdrohi in her own country.....I was called a deshdrohi for supporting SRk and Salman...and I am a Hindu born in India...it hurts man...it hurts...imagine the plight of these Muslims whose family left Pakistan and fought for India being called traitors in their own country...

Praise Deepika all u want..YES KUDOS TO HERšŸ‘...but you have absolutely no right to judge an Indian MUSLIM actor who spoke and was beaten back and blue and now chooses to keep quiet....no right at all u have šŸ‘ŽšŸ¼..You have no right to call that he has no balls...he has more balls than the people who sit on online media and bash him.

@bold I agree 😭. Don’t want to see him go through anything like that again.

Oh as for SRK, it's better he stays mum on this issue. Else, BJP goons will get ready to pack him off to Pak (stupid logic!!!) They will rip him apart.

Salman has his court cases. He will not utter a word against the Govt. He has to be in their good books to avoid jail time.

People being able to call this govt fascist in supposed fascist govt led country

Deepika being praised for having her opinion

While other actors being called names just because they have no opinion or ones matching to govt

I thought

Even others side have their choice of supporting whom just like deepika

Exactly..... This is the same behaviour that the government is getting bashed for........ You bash the government, name call them, then divide the people on the basis of religion and accuse the government of doing it

It’s a win for Deepika for sure.

Rest I don’t know. She will get mileage. People are already talking about her more than students. šŸ˜†

And, as for protests, it will go on. Like it was going.

I have also been supporting her since last 10 years. 10 saal se chutiya kat raha hai par finally she made it worth the wait, I am in tears rn. She has got guts to stand up against this fascist government and find the address of JNU. The moment has arrived 4 din ke liye hi sahi.

Also to all the people saying it is just PR, I must say even if the move is PR driven, we must appreciate Deepika for subjecting her beautiful skin to insanely polluted Delhi's air. if not anything, we must appreciate her for that.

But turns out all the balls in Bollywood are with the women.

Of course, many men have spoken out too - but none of the main heroes are saying anything. They are all silent zeroes.

Inside reports for all 3 movies releasing this weekend are great so it will come down to the mood of the audience and screen share.

Cheap cheap move by her as expected. Her movie had zero buzz, now it's trending. Where was she all the time when protests were going on? This is the main reason I dislike her so much. She uses people's sentiment for her benefit. Cheap move Deepika. My dislike for this woman has increased by 10 folds. For the people who are praising her, believe me or not, this move of her is for her own benefit.

PS: I am not a bhakt

Whatever it is , this stance require guts, I appreciate her for this. If it is a marketing strategy , it is one of the most risky strategy , even in IF few of the ardent DP fans are already took a stance against her , even in Twitter many of her fans are bashing her , and we are living in an era criticising government or PM is labelled as anti national trend ,that's the reason I believe that it is indeed a brave move .Now the Bhakts will make her online life a nightmare with trolls, challenges and threats and her being a celebrity won't help . She can expect income tax raid, continues scrutiny for few months at least .

No, it's not similar at all. Individuals are allowed to have whatever opinion they want. But the government should not have bigoted opinions and then turn them into laws. However, it happens when the majority supports the bigotry like they did in Nazi Germany.

Just the fact that even rich and privileged Muslims like the Khans are afraid to speak up is an indication that fascism has taken root. It doesn't happen all at once. It happens very gradually.

Nationalism is the most destructive and dangerous force in the world and comes in like your best friend, not like your enemy.
