It was quite an interesting episode tonight. A mix of many facets and emotions, which were significant on how the plot will move here onwards. I loved that Maya was so much more natural and emotional today. I have a lot to say and hope to make some sense of what I felt about the episode.

Rishi's independence - It was very heartening to see that Rishi is growing up to be a man, independent in his own right, for a woman whom he loves. And surprisingly Maya was much more natural in her conversation with Rishi. Even though there was the mask of the loving girlfriend, but still it was more natural and looked less made up. The care, the concern, the love, the reminder to wear a tie, came off more naturally. Even when after the call, Rajiv was making fun of Rishi on account of escaping if a girl set the bed on fire, then too Maya very sweetly said she understands where Rishi is coming from - he is naive, he is a good person and he is in love, he trusts her and that is the biggest mistake he is going to make. What I felt here is Maya was saying this based on experience - because she had been through all this, and she was manipulated by the person she loved - which led her being the Maya Jaisingh she is today. Her pain is so much that inflicting similar pain on someone who is as naive as she used to be, is not affecting her the way it should. Her hatred, her revenge, her pain is blinding her to the fact, that what she is doing to Rishi will create another Maya Jaisingh in the long run. Even if later she heals, she changes, she turns towards light because of Rudra, then will she be able to reverse the impact of her game on Rishi. Or will Rishi turn out to be a better person going through this storm and become another support system to Maya, like a good friend?

The 'real' Maya - Today the scene with Nandini touched my heart. Nandini was searching for that Maya she lost in her picture, the hasti masti Maya - but her grief and pain is so tremendous that she does not believe that she can go back to being the Maya she was. Maya remembers all the days of bliss and happiness she spent with her father, her brother - but those memories also serve as a painful reminder that they are no more, they are no longer here with her. Going by the flooding back of memories, it seems Maya has fought a lot with herself and the world to bring herself to this point. She cannot rest without punishing the Roy family. She lost a lot because of Mrityunjay's sanak and his family's maun. Just like Draupadi had announced after her disrobing, that "Duryodhan will be punished for her dishonor, but each and every person who was quite when she was shamed and her husbands were humiliated will also be punished for their silence." And Draupadi and Pandavas waited 13 years for that. Maya also has come too far to back out of this battle, now she will have to punish all of them - be it innocent or not. But what is significant here is Nandini consoles her and tells her that there will definitely be someone who will be a ray of hope in this darkness and pull her towards love and light - and significantly the screen cuts to Rudra.

Rudra in love? Today Rudra was giving off all vibes of falling for Maya. He was recalling all the soft moments which he spent with Maya and is interrupted by Ananya - who is extremely sure of what is going on in Rudra's mind. What I appreciate about Ananya is she may feel something for Rudra, but she does not let that come in between her role as 'Rudra's friend'. She is beginning to understand that Rudra is developing feelings for Maya, but she also knows that he will not accept it before her. Rudra is truly having a hard time because he is feeling a strong pull towards Maya. He wants to know more about her but wants to stay away from her. He wants to unpeel all the layers to Maya because he cannot trust her, but he is stopping himself from doing that. I feel that this is more from a sense of apprehension because he was ditched previously by someone, so he does not want to let someone in. But he cannot stop himself from wanting her - which is evident in him being affected by the trust Maya has on Rajiv and does not show in him. And CVs rightly played it out when Ananya asks him about it, whether its dislike or jealousy? (Someone is stalking my posts). But Maya very validly questions him, does he trust her, does he trust her enough to lose himself in her? But he isn't ready. We have 2 Rudras here - one who is very cautious and does not want to put himself in a place where he will regret trusting someone, and one who wants to give in to Maya, who wants and desires Maya. Rudra's running away from Maya agitates her because it puts a glitch in her game, then when Rudra will give in, I think by that time Maya will be in a dilemma regarding him - to use and hurt him or to love and cherish him?

Mrityunjay's 'Loss of Control' - Mrityunjay is the real sanki in this show, you know, but since his sanak is repressed by his calm demeanor, people can mistake him to be a calm and simple, good man. He does not like the loss of control in any situation - he wants people to want him and he pushes people's buttons to make them want him. Be it Antara's desire for his love, Rishi's dependence on him. He wants to be in control of everything, utilizing fear or love. Rudra and his mother are exceptions, who see through him and do not give two hoots about him being Mrityunjay Roy. So he finds it difficult to handle such people. So he indirectly manipulates them using Antara or Rishi. Rishi giving it a thought that he wants to do something on his own - is appreciated by everyone except Mrityunjay. Mrityunjay is okay when thoughts in his son's head stem because of him and not because of someone else. So he installs Ankit as his CCTV, to know who this girlfriend is who is reducing his influence on his son. I am sorry to say Ankit, sherni ke puch pe pao rakhne jaa rahe ho.. ab wo to labadegi hi. Let us see how Maya handles Ankit.

Precap is the same as last week. Let us see, how Maya tackles Rishi's doubts? Probably she succeeds in doing so because otherwise the future ooh la la romantic MayRa moments would not be shown if Rudra had any inkling of the MaHi equation.

Anyway, done with my rambling. Let's hear out yours.

I actually found their scene nice.. Maya isn't doing anything wrong in pushing Rishi to be on his own feet.. and he sweetly wanted to know wether he looks fine.. Rishi trying to strangle himself with the tie and MJ finally fixing it gave me some kind of premonition 🤔..

Rishi is naive and sweet.. but he also has another side to him.. today he stood between Rudra and MJ focusing the kind of balance of 2 ppl he has within him.. he took to Rudra side and once he was in his side, Rudra stood between him and MJ.. that detailing was very well done.. but rishi has high potential of shifting sides also.. we have time and again seen him shift his personality.

Lol Rajiv commenting he would have run away if any girl had put fire in front of him cracked me up..and maya saying no girl will do it for u cracked me up more.. 😆

Maya for me in the first part was all white outside and all dark inside.. here Maya has opted dark on the outside.. because that stops anything than can come to her.. she was a happy person who laughed whole heartedly.. the little back story that she cried a lot and her dad said cry how much u want and then u will have all the laughter was very symbolic of future.. Maya is hurt and ripped off her respect physically and mentally.. and that bit when her mom said u will find someone in ur path to help u heal and find love and it shifts to Rudra thinking of her 😃

Rudra is affected for once in many years.. he has been as closed as Maya towards love and trust.. he never even gave in to Ananya who loves him so much.. he has to fight his heart and mind as well.. his heart is giving in without him even realising but mind is keeping tab of things.. he doesnt want to trust again.. like he says Maya trust has to be won.. actually ironically Maya keeps asking him do u trust me.. where as it will be eventually be her to trust Rudra rather a Roy again..

Also the few detailing they keep.. like Rudra not touching Maya no matter what.. but she keeps getting so close to him that its giving him some kind of stress.. but eventually she will fall over him and loses herself as well..some how that's what is defining their love story.. maya trying to make Rudra fall for her , she will eventually fall harder for him..

Ananya actually understands Rudra very well..she can sense things crystal clear what Rudra also knows but denies.. Ananya is in for a heart break soon..

Mrityunjay's 'Loss of Control' - Mrityunjay is the real sanki in this show, you know, but since his sanak is repressed by his calm demeanor, people can mistake him to be a calm and simple, good man. MJ character is still kept much in the back ground.. he is manipulative to the best.. calm composed and yet calculative.. I liked how he showed the carrot to his friend in return for some information.. the whole cunningness beautifully expressed by ashish really..

Precap is the same as last week. Let us see, how Maya tackles Rishi's doubts? Probably she succeeds in doing so because otherwise the future ooh la la romantic MayRa moments would not be shown if Rudra had any inkling of the MaHi equation.

I think she will manipulate Rishi but I also think Rishi will not be so naive..he might put his brains to work now.. Also MayRa has to move ahead steadily.. their equation will bring the whole revenge and the flash back story of both to the audience.. so that's important.. but tomo is new year party so I will miss the epi but will catch up next day 😆

There was so much in today's episode that helps connect things and put it in perspective.. Lovely analysis Libran🤗

- Maya-Rishi: As we have been seeing, she has now taken the role of a guide to Rishi much like she had initially with Rudra. In Rishi's case she used love to gain control over Rishi and seemingly is trying the same game with Rudra. It was good to see Rishis growth. Him stopping immediately from taking MJs help to honor his promise to Maya was a true revelation.

- Rudra-Rishi: The bond these two have. God Maya will have to do a lot or work to break this bond. I loved the way Rudra showed support to Rishi and asked him to seek Godesses blessing. Rudra is the moral center of this show and it's going to be amazing to see the tussle between MayRa on these issues. Also Rudra seeking blessing for Rishi and standing behind him like his support is also important. Rudra is the strength of the family albeit he is MJs weakness coz he isn't on MJs side.

- Maya-Nandini: This scene gave a good dekko at Mayas past self. Scenes like these are important to remind us that Maya always had light within her. It has been dimmed by the experiences of her past but there is still hope as Nandini says to save her from that darkness. The question is will Maya let herself be saved?

- MayRa: God Maya is just out there dressed to kill. The way she walked towards Rudra and that seductive hint to her dialogues had me panting. No wonder Rudra clearly panicked. It was funny to see how Ananya always calls him out on his thoughts. He is such an open person to decipher if one has the eye. Both Maya and Ananya seem to know how to read him. I agree on your thoughts that he is in dilema. He is fighting with himself - wanting to pursue Maya or to protect his broken heart. This is going to get even more intense when MayRa take off and Rudra finds out about MaHi.

Looking forward to how Maya handles Rishi being at Rudras office and seeing MayRa

Very well articulated!!

I will be honest.. I fast forwarded most scenes because I had work.. I usually watch the episode in peace when I am back from work in the evening.. but of whatever I saw, I thought Maya was being genuinely sweet, sort of encouraging when talking to Rishi on the phone.. I really hope Maya's plan for Rishi is limited to him getting out of the shadow and influence of his father.. heartbreak is fine because that can be dealt with.. and Rishi right now seems infatuated with Maya not exactly in ''love'' but I really hope Maya doesn't physically hurt or kill him.. How Rishi comes out of this whole heartbreak is gonna be interesting to watch coz he has shown signs of impulsive rage when denied what he wants.. the kiss for instance.. and with his own brother coming into the equation its gonna be very complicated for all three of them..

I have to watch the Maya and her mom scene to comment but its good to know that her mother believes her daughter can be saved from the darkness that surrounds her today..

Rudra is clearly smitten by Maya's beauty, intrigued by her aura, her personality..he is already getting jealous and possessive.. he wants her to trust him but can not trust her completely either because of the mystery that surrounds and his own past I guess like you pointed out.. but their dynamics is damn interesting to watch... there r gonna be fireworks for sure.. and when Rudra finds out Maya is his brother's gf.. damn! his name is Rudra for a reason hahaha

So, I saw a BTS on twitter couple of days back where Maya is struggling to get out of a swamp, or mud pit and then she fights with Rishi's friend.. so MJ is gonna ask this guy to attack Maya? I thought MJ was smarter than this..

Loved reading your post btw.. Will look forward to your thoughts after each epi from now on :)
