Dear, i don't support TM's view of Gita getting insulted!

Secondly, yes there are many versions of MB, some because of poor interpretation and understanding of Sanskrit! Karna had donated so many, but what's the use? When you give evil ideas and insulting Draupadi & encouraging duryodhan?

And SP version of MB was crappy crap! Couldn't even have patience to watch a single episode, everytime I tried to! It was just cooked up stories to show Arjun as hero, while the main was Bheem who destroyed the 100 kauravas!

And yes Sakuni was the mastermind who took the oath to destroy Hastinapur!

And yes after Abhimanyu was killed by unfair means as Kauravas broke the rules, the Pandavas didn't care about the rules! Since kauravas were wrong, pandavas were supported in every move be it fair or unfair means!

@bold - I was trying to say the same thing dear. Just read my first comment. That’s what I said about the war. Since the TM was saying Geeta was violated, I highlighted that that war was also won by deceit. Bheeshma, Dronacharya were killed by deceit and also had the children of Kaurav committed any crimes? Weren’t they slaughtered in the war? And among the Kauravas, there was one brother who was good - Vikarna who opposed Draupadi’s treatment. Didn the Pandavs kill him as well just because he was on the other side in the war? Did Pandavs stop to think these people are innocent and had never harmed us, so we should not kill them? Since Draupadi was brought up, I only have one question - weren’t the Pandavs more guilty here? For betting on Draupadi in the first place and watching mutely like a spectator when their wife was being humiliated in front of the court? I even mentioned that humiliating Draupadi rightfully brought upon Kauravas destruction. So tell me dear where did I justify what happened with Draupadi? I was just trying to say nobody is a saint where MB is concerned and everyone including Draupadi had their own share of flaws but the TM dragged it further saying I am justifying rape, genocide and what not for that one comment. My comment was about wars in general where two parties partake knowing fully aware what would be the consequences of it. Is rape a war? Is genocide a war? It is an assault on an innocent, unarmed person. Now with this statement of mine i am waiting to see what else will I be accused of here.
I had seen some really crazy theories justifying Maya in season one and I must say this time I am seeing some more crazy theories as well. Insulting Hinduism definitely tops the list.

Yudhishthir lost his brothers in the bet. He lost himself as well in the bet before he was asked to bet Draupadi next. When he was asked to bet on Draupadi, he had lost all the power & authority he had on himself as well. Losing himself was equal to being slave to Duryodhana who could be commanded as per owner's desire who wished to humiliate his cousin in worst way possible.

Technically, Yudhishthir was psychologically coerced into betting Draupadi.

Could he have retaliated then & put a stop to all this? Definitely, but Dharmaraj is known for adhering to Dharma even if it comes at huge personal loss. That's what his character was all about & Kauravas knew how to use it against him along with his addiction of gambling.

That's the reason Yudhishthir cursed his mother for hiding about Karna, that's why he repented for his half-lie when Dronacharya was killed. Even if he had betted on her, Draupadi would have faced that humiliation because by that time, Pandavas had become slaves to Duryodhana and his team. Only way to stop that would have been Pandavas revolting then and there only and not giving any damn to what their elder brother had to say.

As far as use of Geeta is concerned in the show. Since times immemorial, Mahabharat & Geeta in its various form has inspired people to achieve their goals & justify it. Show doesn't insult it in anyway. The book is open to thousands of interpretation by every individual fighting a battle. Mahabharata wasn't just a Dharma Yuddh. It was also a battle for revenge (for Draupadi, Bheem, Shakuni), justice (for others) & ego (for Kauravas). Maya too is fighting a battle here which she cannot afford to lose and she takes power to do so from Geeta. To win a battle, it's important to be convinced that you are fighting for the right cause on your side. For Maya, Geeta provides her that conviction. Can she twist Geeta's teaching as per her owb understanding? Yes. But till now, show is giving every indication that Maya has been wronged & she is right to fight this battle for justice.

Let's wait for the story to unfold more in future to make a better judgement.
