I think the creatives are insulting Hinduism by showing a villain using the Geeta to justify her misdeeds.

The Geeta NOWHERE says that killing innocent people in wars is justified.

Please stop this nonsense. No need to involve religion into this shite.

Geeta never states that

But maya takes geeta and gives her own definition to it based on her life experiences

If you have seen the before episodes with her mom she even stated that

Maya isn't a villain she is a character who changed her path due to unwanted happenings in her life.

We all draw inspiration in our lives from something she took the inspiration from geeeta

This all depends on our perspective and has nothing to do with religion

It doesn't matter. What's important is that she's using a sacred text to justify her wrong actions.

Dude seriously a person can do many things to justify themselves that is all that the show is showing. It has nothing to do with Hinduism so calm down.

It's not justified but sometimes it's necessary

That's why many innocents were killed in Mahabharat.

Like uppandavs, Abhimanyu,ghatotkach

Ghatotkach was not even a part of war.. but lord Krishna made him a part so that he can save Arjun from the arrow Karn was thinking to use on Arjun .

And many more Balis they had give to win the war

Coz Dharam sthapna and yug Parivartan was his main priority

And for Maya her revenge is the main priority so whatever she's doing is right

Yeah, so the actions are wrong right? We know it's wrong. SHE is doing something wrong by wrongly justifying the Gita. We are NOT supposed to do that. We are to learn from that, that we shouldn't do it. They aren't disrespecting it. They are saying people can do that to themselves too. It's HER mistaken understanding. Maya's mother pointed it out to her pretty clearly.

Gita doesn't teach wrong things if you approach it correctly. But twisted people can derive twisted things that suit their own convenience and we are NOT supposed to do that. Isn't that a lesson in itself?

I believe, there are two ways lessons can be learnt. One, learn what to do. Two, learn what NOT to do. Rest is up to you! 😊

ITV shows violence and r*pe scenes and normalizes r*pe culture but you're worried about the Bhagwad Geeta. First of all it's a Tv show. A fictional character is using it to fit her narrative in the story arc. it's not Jenny using her platform with 8M+ instagram followers actively degrading Bhagwad Geeta.

Well said.

She interprets the Geeta to suit her narrative, but not to explain herself, but to boost herself. No sacred book ever encourages killing of anyone, but Geeta was recited to Arjun so that he doesn't lose his motivation and doesn't become weak. He had to fight his own relatives, that made him weak, so Krishna stepped in and advised him, saying all the shlokas to make him see that he isn't doing anything wrong, but following his karma.

Also, this is a serial, why are we getting offended by something written by a bunch of creative people.

I understand and respect your sentiments but it would be nice if you don't make it about one religion, because creativity has no religion, no gender.
