Wow...what a waste of such a well made movie....If only they took different male leads! I cannot stress enough about how much they have ruined the movie....Poor Kriti, who put in her best performance!

With rumored budget of 100crrs it's mystery why Gowarikar went with Arjun Kapoor. I thought he would try to make some cheap 50-60crrs budget movie. He should have definitely gone for bigger star with such budget.

Kriti Sanon’s performance as Parvati Bai has left a solid impact on those who watched the recently released historical drama on the big screen. The Ashutosh Gowariker directed film saw some good critical acclaim coming its way and Kriti, in particular, has seen appreciation coming from all quarters for her performance. This is her first true-blue historical film, though there glimpses of fictionalised history in films like ‘Raabta’ and ‘Housefull 4’.

There is very little information available about Parvati Bai in the history books and other archived documents. So, the onus was on Ashutosh Gowariker and his team of writers to flesh out her character keeping in mind the story arc of the film. A good job was done in this regard and the character came across as a well-fleshed one in the film. Kriti, on her part, played the character to the best of her abilities and her efforts seem to have bore fruit as her performance has been unanimously loved and appreciated.

Going by the trends on social media, netizens seem to have declared it the best performance by Kriti. The actress, who had two solid successes this year in the form of ‘Luka Chuppi’ and ‘Housefull 4’, seem to have added another credible performance to her filmography. This was her fourth release this year and while this might not have been as commercially rewarding as the aforementioned films, it has given her a character she would be proud to call her own.
