It’s time to return to the wizarding world! Rupert Grint is officially stepping back into the shoes of Ron Weasley as he returns to Broadway in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
Grint will begin his limited 17-week run at New York’s Lyric Theatre on February 2, 2027, playing the beloved character he first portrayed at just 11 years old.
What makes this return even more special is where Ron is in his life. Cursed Child takes place 19 years after the original story, with Ron now a husband and father — a stage of life that mirrors Grint’s own journey.

“Ron Weasley has been a part of me since I was 11 years old and I can’t wait to meet him again at this stage of life,” Grint shared.
After more than 15 years away from the role, seeing Rupert Grint reunited with Ron Weasley on stage is sure to be an emotional moment for longtime Harry Potter fans.
Welcome back, Ron! ⚡️
On another note:

Just one little wish… if only Tom Felton’s Draco and Rupert’s Ron stints overlapped! Imagine getting to see the two former Hogwarts rivals sharing the Broadway stage. 💚❤️
