If we look at BARC India's impression for week 48, we can see that KZK 2 was in the 18th rank with 2785 impressions, out of Top 20 Rural GEC Programs. Here

https://www.iwmbuzz.com/television/news/barc-india-ratings-week-48-2019-yeh-jaadu-hai-jinn-ka-takes-top-slot/2019/12/05

So even if this week and probably even before last week, KZK was not in top 20 position, lets say it was among top 50 program watched in the Rural GEClist, yet even if 1 percent of that 99 million rural tv viewing population watch KZK, it still accounts for around 1 million rural GEC viewers. So how can we be sure that whatever @bookworm had said in her post in a different thread which became the precedent for this thread, is not true? Agreed that not everyone would watch KZK with reasons as resonated by @bookworm, but even whatever we think are guesses and conjectures. Unless we have data that breaks down the reasons for which viewers watch (or doesn't) a particular Show as well as the proportions of each of those reasons, the other person's reasons are as good or as bad as mine....

I saw.this rural impressions list yesterday only n kzk is there I know..any show which is in top 10 or 20 normally features in the rural charts too..the previous trends were different..rural charts had only 1 or 2 shows specially kkb was always there.. now it's different...earlier the reruns of these shows topped the rural charts..may be bec of blooming tv market...yeah number of tv in households have increased many folds be it rural or urban..so the topic of discussion is how does kzk2 connect to the rural audience and their sensibilities...

Not only KZK 2 Charu, even Bhagyas and Rishtas deserve that discussion as these Shows have been consistently ranking among top 20 Shows in the rural GEC chart. However, when it comes to regessive repression, helpless and overtly sacrificing female leads, urbane-but-dumb-alpha-male, make-up-laden-forever-conniving-vamp, forever-sullen-MIL and props of other side characters, I don't see much difference between KZK 2 and the ones I have mentioned, except for better execution and desirable fluidity of the other Shows.
