Whoever makes it will have to go through mountains and mountains of protest.

If this is the same book that implies that Draupadi and Karna were in love then it isn’t a good idea to make one imho.

Karna was doing good until he decided to be part of and actively participate in “cheer haran” . No way should a book or movie depict such sick idea. It’s like victim falling in love with their offenders. 😑

Surprised? Yes, he did. Sadly, none of the shows or books stress on it.

Ulupi tied HIM up and forced herself on him. Chitra he married. He never even said anything about Subhadra. Yeah, he later admitted he found her attractive. But Arjuna abducted her because Krishna told him to. It's all there in the original text, but no show or book will ever show it, because none of them will want to put blame on Krishna.

Bheema was actually a thoughtful man. Do read the TED talk he and Panchali gave Yudhishtira during Vana Parva.

Sahadeva was the only one to support Panchali (other than Krishna) during the run up to the ear.

Yeah, Nakul doesn't seem to have had a voice. And Yudhishtira was... I'm not saying it.

At no point in time does Krishna ever call or refer to Panchali as his sister. The bandage story is a made up tale.

In front of them their wife got sexually assaulted.. how is this not cowardly..?

in his 12 year thing, Arjuna literally marries and has kids .. he is supposed to be on atonement quest right..

And in the end how everyone falls down from that mountain except Yudhistir lol and he goes to heaven..

it felt like yudhishtir paid money and got mahabharata written lol

Because of Yudhishtir , he gambled away his wife..

And they stood there and watched..

Thats why Mahabharata is a tale where all morals are lost and Kali Yuga started in this time..

Krishna considered Draupadi like his sister. There is that story where Krishna gets hurt and draupadi immediately tears her part of her saree and ties a bandage to him.

Arjuna was such a womaniser having some 12 wives , Yudhistir was a big coward and gambler.. Only Bhima was good , although Short tempered. Nakul Sahdev were simply like side characters with no voice..

man what a takedown, you are brutal, 🤣

The 12 year thing was actually 12 month as per the summary given in critical edition. It wasn't atonement. Only exile.

Ulupi was a #metoo moment for Arjuna. Chithra and Subhadra were political alliances, same as Panchali.

Re: dice hall. Arjuna was a warrior, but he was Yudhishtira's soldier, not independent. Them were the rules in those days. He actually spoke up against it eventually. I'll give him credit for it.

Anything I say about Yudhishtira will be too much 😂

Arjun had 4 wives not 12..!? And does having 4 wives make him a womanizer? Remember how Uttara's father had offered his daughter to him as a wife and he instead chose her as his daughter in law? Womanizer indeed.

And Arjuna's 4 wives compared to Draupadi's 5 husbands. We had a pretty level playing field back in the day if you ask me.

Arjun never had 12 wives he had 4 wives drau, chitrangadha, ullupi and subdhara

And swargoharan is not part of the original epic its a latter addition

Yudhishtra was not a noble man eirher he was as good or as bad as any other character

And one of the prime culprits apart from villanous four for dice hall incident

The only thing worse was making Draupadi fall for Krishna in the Aryavarta Chronicles. Do we need to romanticize every relationship?

Wth, they were siblings of the heart ...... Some authors are disgusting 🤢

Many literature classes have different perspective of the same story (fiction and not religious of course ) for example, Hansel And Gretel. We were made to read it from Hansel’s pov, Gretel’s pov, Step Mother’s pov so on and so forth. There was one interpretation that made me physically sick and that was Hansel and Gretel being siblings and sexually attracted to one another.

This apparently flexes critical thinking muscle and develops writing skills.

It was fun and made me think. I wouldn’t take it seriously now.

Of course, Mahabharata and Hansel Gretel aren’t similar story or hold same sentiments.

Where oh where in the epic does it say this? Forget authors, even scholars have speculated why Krishna goes into whiplash frenzy whenever the assault on her is mentioned.

The sibling interpretation is what was made by later authors. Vyasa never once says it.

Not saying it was romantic, but I find it puzzling when peeps claim they were bro-sis when neither says anything like this at all in all 18 parvas.

Some of the same claim Panchali was proud, snob etc. WHERE? Or that she was in love with Arjun before swayamvar. Or that Arjun just oh, so coolly kidnapped Subhadra when it was Krishna who PUSHED him into it for mostly political reasons. Or that Karna was a do-gooder who made just one teeny, tiny mistake when in actuality he was part instigator of most of Suyodhana's evil schemes.

All these sanitized stories are from shows, man. People are mostly more complicated than that. Now as well as then.
