We'll agree that none of the characters from Mahabharata are flawless. In fact it's their flaws which make them interesting, human and relatable. You seem to be offended by the fact I referred to Draupadi as proud. Yes she is. She's the only daughter of a powerful king. She was not born like other woman but was the personification of her father's hopes.Destiny had something great planned out for her.Of course she was proud of her position and knew very well what was due to her.I really don't why you see her pride as a negative point.Of course the wound to her self-respect/pride (whatever you want to call it) compelled her to seek vengeance -whether it be the Kauravs or Keechaka? I admire her spirit and pride.Too often women are expected to be meek like Sita and not passionate like Draupadi or Amba who speak out against injustices done to them.
Ditto with Arjun's many wives. He's a great warrior, a good friend, brother and husband and had a conscience to boot. That does not take away the fact that he was not a one-woman man. He's what he is. That was the custom of that
Being proud/having a sense of self.worth and being proud in the context of caste/race whatever. She never showed any of the latter. That was the reason for the original comment IIRC. That she refused to marry a Suta. But then, she was willing to marry an apparently impoverished Rishi, caste unknown.
Also, she was nowhere the personification of her father's hope. THAT was Dhrishtadyumna. Drupad tells Yudhishtira he doesn't care which of the 5 marries her. Drupad doesn't even visit after the assault on her.
Did I say anywhere that Arjuna was a one-woman man? There are people who say he was a womanizer, and I was saying he was not. Ulupi was a ONS she forced on him. He never even acknowledged her as wife until after war. Chitra and Subhadra were political alliances much the same as Panchali.
