Agreed. But she is Maya. She won't let him go that easily. He is like her primary weapon here. Rishi was a cakewalk sure, but Rudra isn't. Because Rudra questions her every move. He wants to know more and he is pushed back each time by Maya and that draws him more towards her. This continuous push and pull will happen in everything - whether it is Rudra's hate or love, Maya's hate or revenge or love.
True. Rishi melted like an ice cream in the scorching heat and all it took was, her looking pretty and acting docile.
On the other hand, Rudra wanted to know the whole reason and aim for her actions. I think she even pulls him towards her. Like for instance, he inquired if sheâs unable to stay away from him because what purpose did it even serve to her to duel him at night when she couldâve just texted him the address for the next day?!
Thereâs a tug of war involved which may be a plan of hers right now but her reaction when she was in close proximity suggested that things might not go necessarily as planned for Maya in regards to her feelings at least.

Absolutely Nida. Rishi is still bachcha to understand love and marriage.
Maya unknowingly pulls him because inspite of all the hate and vengeance - there is this one side of her that probably likes him or knows him. But that side is overpowered by her game plan and fury. Rudra is drawn to the mystery that is Maya. He firmly believes that there is more to Maya's madness and sanki-ness. There is a constant push-and-pull, and Maya will try her best to push him away, but Rudra will not let her go either easily.

Along with Rishi being spoilt silly. For instance, he keeps saying âyour bahuâ and except Rudra nobody tries to make him gain some clarity and drive across the point that he is a kid and he needs to grow up first.
For sure! Iâm going to be wishful here and say that maybe she likes him đ
My only issue is that vengeance better be backed with REAL reason to empathize with her. Iâm going to be really disappointed if itâs just an affair or the âdestruction of businessâ because this has become a recurring theme on ITV and I really want it to be downright brutal (oops, is this making me sound unhinged?!đ )
Agreed with the fact Rudra will be her Arjun and in Mahabharat even though he won the biggest loss was of arjun and just like that Rudra's going to loose even after winning
And right she's Krishna in both sense
As Krishna(Draupadi) - she's humiliated and wants her revenge
And as Krishna(Kanha) she's shaping everything which will leads towards war
Awesome post. The way you categorized the characters according to Mahabharata was nice. But I think Rishi lacks the characteristics of Karna. First Karna was a warrior who get along with Duryodhan for the injustice which happened with him ( I have not much knowledge in Mahabharat, so correct me if I'm wrong). Rishi is neither a warrior nor a good human. For saving himself, he didn't even care that he pushed another. He can be the latter Karna with MJ.
I love that you brought the Arjun-Karna reference here. It's spot on. Interestingly, both Arjun-Karna were Draupadi's suitors in Mahabharata. It was Krishna who made Draupadi to stop Karna from being able to fulfill the challenge set up by King Drupad to win Draupadis hand in marriage. While she willingly chose Arjun. Much like it will be Maya who will choose Rudra but love is going to be a very difficult journey for Mayra.
Another interesting point from Rudra's character pov is that Draupadi was married to all 5 brothers coz she had prayed to Lord Vishnu to give her a husband who had all five qualities- morality (yudhishthir), strength (bheem), valor/charisma (Arjun), neutrality/balance (nakul) , foresight (sahdev) . Mayas challenge is revealing Rudra's character and it measures up perfectly.

Honestly, being just dumped by a man does not really push someone to the edge like this. There is more than betrayal. This involves humiliation, shame, death, agony all mixed into one. If they have to establish Maya as someone to sympathize with, then the story really needs to be strong.
Does anyone really bother to coach Rishi in how to interact with women in that house, except Rudra? I don't know.

Exactly, Arjun had to stand against his loved ones to avenge the humiliation of Draupadi (Krishna) and bring forth the yug-antar. Same it will be for Rudra.
