The way he is looking at her in the last one He is like i can read through yoir lies so stop with that sam 😆 but i actually liked that dialogue caz refreshing hai in the sense that she isn't looking for his approval even though yahan it goes both ways she kinda wants the respect from him like she mentioned in s1 and putting a fake personality and the hug is one of the cutest with just how in the moment it was and how toghtly he grabbed her

It's amazing how the build up happens in this scene....from the initial taunting bits, to the push and pull, to Veer trying to samjhaao her pyar se by holding her face when she's like, "Maine decide kar liya hai ki I will love in moderation"....lol.....to finally the kiss......such a range of emotions they go back and forth in.....

Did you notice how in the very end, Sam was kinda softly smiling after the kiss? For that one brief moment, she let her real self through and didn't hide her emotions.

Oh I toh loved that exchange....it went to the crux of Sam's state of mind....she had seen such a low point in desperately craving Kartik's approval and love that now she was fully focused on first liking HERSELF rather than relying on others ke opinions......woh baat aur hai ki Veer was just trying to joke with her in that scene but she took it seriously and responded defensively.....Veer phir bhi samajh gaya how she meant it and that is why that look and smile in his eyes.

His main concern was obviously about her trying to fake what she wasn't.....but Sam had totally started to doubt and hate her real self because she felt that is what made a tamasha out of her with Kartik.....self-worth and self-esteem issues ho gaye deep waale.

I honestly feel she still has a lot to work through on that front.....the Kartik baggage isn't totally gone....not cuz Sam still has feelings for him.....but cuz she is so traumatized by what she became after he left her.....she is subconsciously projecting that onto Veer.....isliye toh he spent 90% of the season saying, "I'm not like Kartik"😆

Sam ne yeh toh bol diya ki Ahaan is not Veer....she is yet to say ki "Yes, Veer, I get it....you're not like Kartik"😆

And on the other side, Veer's Alina related baggage is still pending too.....Sam also sees through his lies just as easily as he sees through hers.....he kinda sidestepped the question when she asked him why he's still carrying Alina's ring in his pocket.

It was him before her going to ishanavi and constantly blabbing about this chick who needs desperate help eventhough he hinself needed that too haha

Ofcourse the karthik baggage is still there for her she subconsciously ends up considering the scenarios as in if it ends up like karthik. Those scars are still fresh no matter how much she tries to be like i am over him which she is to a certain level but the fear it left in her is too much and despite veer being veer the best companion and the right person for her she ends up conparing him to karthik. I also feel it is the brother thing too she is even more scared caz they happened to be brothers unfortunately too so the comparisons come even more strongly in her head deapite her tries to not imagine them. I mean even she knows veer and karthik are poles apart yet she ends up being but what if? So i have to protect myself from that pain again and uske chakkar main she ends up being more in pain and in hurt caz then she went onto this ahaan i pick ahaan mode

Ofcourse she was smiling and happy for that brief moment afterall she wanted it more then him hehe. Yes he told his desire to kiss her first but she went in and initiated it without any guilt the emotions overpowered them in this moment and their real selves came through even if it was really brief bottom line they both were desperate to feel that haq over each other

Harleen especially is a total gyaan bhandaar.....haha now it makes sense why Sam and Veer ki convos turn out so well....these two have a natural knack for philosophical convos😆

not only she is gyani but she enjoyed bantooing that haha she said it atleast thrice about how much gyaan she gave so adorable and yes nice to see 2 people who are groudned and know where they stand and speak so well liked the answers from both

Anu and Fary I am enjoying reading the discussions even though I haven’t watched the show yet. Looking forward to reading all this after I watch. Bade dinon baad itna discussion ho raha kisi show par (post Shivika) which makes me look forward to watching it.....someday.

Haha yes, it’s very typical of both of them. 😆 They are similar that way....This is why they instantly recognize it when the other is doing it.

@bold: Yes, so very true. He was the one who got hung up on “psycho ex” even when she was busy obsessing over Kartik. lol. This reminds me....when he sees her at the pub and she’s trying to avoid him, he calls out her name and then even calls her “psycho ex” teasingly 😆.....psycho ex ended up becoming an inside joke between them even though Kartik had started the term for Sam 😆

Re: Kartik baggage....yep, the fact that Veer is Kartik’s cousin brother doesn’t help. Lol the deja vu is bound to be there. Same last name hai...it takes her back into the same family and even if she is otherwise over Kartik, seeing him around is bound to bring up some bad memories. Apart from this, what Sam fears is that Veer has seen at her lowest point, in her worst state. She’s been that vulnerable in front of him...he knows every single thought and emotion she went through in that phase....and she is so traumatized by that phase of her life that she wanted to block it out, run away.

Yeah Veer healed her from that phase, helped pull her out of it but both him and Kartik will always somehow remind her of that phase a bit. That is why she ends up getting deja vu I guess. Then there is the fact that she thought she loved Kartik and got brutal heartbreak out of it ....so now she fears what she feels for Veer because it’s much more intense than what she felt for Kartik and no matter what, the thought is bound to cross her mind that he is Kartik’s brother....what if he does the same with her. So that is something that needs to be worked through. They still need to develop more trust and understanding of each other.

Even on Veer’s end, he is also not really dealing with his Alina baggage....he gave some level of closure to Alina in season 1 when he took a step towards Sam in the last epi but that was just the initial step. Alina is a big part of him that he can’t move on from so easily.

Waise did he ever talk about Alina with Debbie? 😆 I’m willing to bet no 😛.....and if he can’t talk about Alina with someone, it’s not an honest relationship....he could only ever share that with Sam. He seemed to be trying to pretend with Debbie that he was a total clean slate....which is not true. Sam knows this.

So if they do season 3, all this could be addressed there. I’ve noticed in a lot of the convos, they just hint at deeper baggage and save it for later. Lol like this angle of Alina that Veer mostly blocked out in season 2.....he tried to compensate for that feeling of emptiness with Debbie but he was also just avoiding the truth in his own way like Sam was for her issues.

Alina was his childhood sweetheart....in a sense, the only girl he seriously asked out before Sam. Uske baad he just had an endless string of flings....no wonder then that the relationship with Debbie had him behaving like a giddy teenager. Lol when did he ever have a serious dating relationship as an adult? Alina we toh direct shaadi kar li hogi after growing up. Isliye he screws up with Sam....serious feelings ke saath deal nahin kiya pehle as an adult 😆
