Really Sorry, don’t mean to be rude, but I’m impatient and cannot read such long posts, but panic attacks is a problem in the mind of the person, they are worrying about something which is non existent and not happened at all.
Mindfulness helps overcome the problem and Aarti should have been aware of it.
Hi Priya you should definitely read up on it a bit more. No offence taken, but it’s not at all what you think it is.
It’s not about worrying about something- but sometimes something just triggers your brain and this weird fear creeps in and you can’t shake it off no matter how much you try( no kind of mindfulness helps) - you can’t breathe, you feel you can’t live and don’t know what to do. It’s a feeling of utter disdain, pain and it’s so defeating in itself.
Depression and anxiety don’t get cured with mindfulness I wish they did. They take years of medicines, therapy, meditation, breathing excersies and even then you don’t know when they will make a come back.
But also this doesn’t mean a person needs to stop living their life or experiencing things at all. Sooner or later you just to live with it while fighting it at the same time! It takes some kind of bravery to let people see this so openly, and I support Arti for that.
