I don't think it's because Aniruddh doesn't want to play a father's role. If that were true, then Arya didn't need to come into the picture. I don't claim to know him but from what he has been saying, his craft is of utmost importance so if he gets a meaty role he'll do it. That's why he took up HS in the first place but the writing didn't do HS much justice towards the end.

They didn't know which way to go with Babita and they wanted to kill her character off. They couldn't have HS widowed again so they killed him off too.

I just don't buy how there wasn't a story for HS post leap. They could have done SO much with him.

His craft is important to him, but that's what forum members have been saying about him. That Aniruddh doesn't want to do fatherly roles. Idk how true this is but this is something that I've been told directly from you all.

Considering what they did with Babita right now I can understand them wanting to kill her off. HS phir se widow ho jaata aur gham mein chala jaata but at least he would have had his daughters with him. Kaise bhi kar ke they would have helped him along in his journey.

Well i dint expect him to completely break down like this. i actually thought HS would be happy that mini wants to pursue her dreams but at the same time would be a little sad that she will be away. Like how it happens normally in families. he would support her and try to make babita understand too. He always wanted her to dream big and do good things so he would feel proud of her too that she has secured a scholarship. But yaha to kuch aur hi ho gaya. He just couldnt handle it. Looks like the one sided marriage is taking a bad toll on him. i can now understand how broken he is from inside.

Somehow, I'm done with these characters. Don't have that energy to watch them more in light of expectations and more expectations. I feel CVs didn't want to show the HS Mini thing positively, ever. There was no one to stop them from doing that this season and I see no reason why they would've done that in the next cause it's about sister sister this time.

With Babita dead, I surely would've thought that they would've come closer but then I'm not sure.

I stopped expecting anything from this show and the characters since last Friday. Now, I'm just taking it one episode at a time until it's all over. What's happening with the characters absolutely sucks but there's not much that we can do now. The scenes have already been shot. Ab bas dekho aur react karo.

They destroyed Babita. Along with that they destroyed the entire show for me.

I don’t know if I can watch episode 1-180 with the same excitement as before when I know this is how it will end.

HS is the most broken about this. Despite all the hurt he was feeling, he was still a parent. He didn't once try to stop her, just wanted to make sure that she was leaving without any ill feelings towards them.

Babita on the other hand, we know will try to do everything in her power to make Minnie stay behind and twist everything into how Minnie doesn't care for her etc. She'll essentially make it all about her rather than Minnie and what's best for her. Yes, HS laid out his heart today but while talking about himself he was making sure to put forth the importance Minnie has in his life.

I do! A lot has happened in the past few days and while HS has been saying that he supports her, everything has fallen to pieces around them. The shop, the symbol of their perseverance and identity has now been sold off to Khatri of all people, Babita wants to shift to a new place without even considering Minnie's education or future, and then the whole surname fiasco - everything has just been too much.

I think it is a gut feeling. He had even mentioned that no matter what happens, you always were and always will be my Veer Balika. This was like his way of saying goodbye to the Queen Victoria that he knew because when Minnie comes back, she won't be the same. She would be much older, wiser and a lot more experienced and steadfast in her stances.

In every line of his, he was stuttering and the words trembled out of his mouth. It was simply so heartbreaking because this was their goodbye as Hanuman Uncle and Veer Balika. Idk if we'll get another one after this.

I don't know what the last scene will be like, but this one would serve that purpose. Upcoming ones seem to be full of arguments and more kalesh.

@bold, and they both know it. No matter what anyone else thinks, his reaction, his words, and his approach to the whole thing made him more a father than anything else he has done: he put his child and her happiness and wellbeing first, her needs first. He said heroes don't cry and I don't know why but I got the feeling that Minnie finally saw her hero in him again. I don't know if she'll reverse this opinion because of the letter but something tells me she won't. HS is unlikely to agree with Babita burning the letter or quoting Saroj's words (he should just ban her from the haveli).

I can dissect the hell out of this scene. The dialogues had so many layers to them. HS was talking about transparence on both sides but clearly they both had stopped being 100% transparent with each other. I think it's also part of growing up. After a point you don't tell your parents everything, not because you don't love or trust them, but because your views on life change, or because you don't feel you can communicate with them as you did when you were younger. Parent-child bonds also evolve over time. Also, when he talked about Babita missing her and breaking down if Minnie left, it almost felt as if he was talking about himself there. Again, woh baap hone ka haq nahin jata paaya to ask her to stay back for him - it's a different matter that he wouldn't ever stop her because as a father he wants her to succeed and do better in life.

What I will always hate is the way they made him behave out of character by accusing Minnie of the CD swap. They could have found many other ways of creating the same conflict, distance, etc. but they got lazy.

He is even more broken than he's showing because he was trying hard to control himself. The way he sat down and cried reminded me of the time he cried when Babita dictated the letter to Imarti.

It was as if he was losing his Imarti and her essence all over again. He's going to live in a shell of a marriage. He has to stay strong for Babita - if she weren't there he would have broken down completely.

I am so sad that he's going to die before Minnie returns - she won't get a chance to spend time with him and get to interact with him on a more mature level. Woh bhi ek khoobsoorat yaad ban ke reh jayega.

AD said ages before this show that he wasn't ready to play father roles but then later he said when the role of HS was offered the material was too good for him not to want to take it up.

Yeah I totally agree, they could have had a unique season two focusing on him and his daughters, their journey together. I know HS would have been mind-blowing to watch in that post-leap avatar, as would have AD. After watching the scene today with his voicing out how hollow this marriage is, I am pretty sure they could have done a brilliant arc for him. HS has resigned himself to living this way now - how is this any better than the way he was living before these two came into his life? What a shame!
