This.Its kinda scary how Bollywood still does not get the concept of consent-based sex and the hero wanting sex always leads to rapey dialogues or mentions of balatkar.

And people calling it fiction..so it's okay for fictional characters who are supposed to be heroes to make marital rape jokes? Question should be why marital rape is trivialized like this,like some casual joke in a comedy movie..and for the purpose of making someone laugh.. Do the makers really think marital rape jokes are funny then? It might be fiction but rape jokes are never funny. Because who is laughing at them,I want to know. Also,since Kartik's character is an average Joe..acc to writers,directors,Kartik..do average joes crack jokes like these with their friends?

Yes. Anyone who wanna do bad things, will do it without watching movies anyways. It's not movies responsibility that some people are idiots. If we go by that logic, action movies should be banned too bcoz of use of guns bombs etc. Animation, disney's movies should be banned too bcoz they don't exist or also why not ban superhero movies because they don't exist and many kids die trying to be superman etc. Why not close whole movie industry bcoz some can't differentiate?

Yes there can be but i am not a writer to tell him to what to write or not... Or take those dialogues so seriously . It was one dialogue that was added to that line in a 2 hour movie. Yes i don't watch it with any social movement lens bcoz it's a fictional movie .... If people wanna take them so seriously, they can continue. Whereas if movie is good, it will work and noone gonna remember that one line expect some who won't put a dent in collections anyways...

Character is fake, not the issue. :) Issue is a dark reality for many. The least our heroes can do onscreen is not joke about it. Cause it's no laughing matter.

Writer, director and Actor : sick.

It is a cheap joke, and shouldn't have been included in a movie supposed to be a family entertainer.

Anyways, these types of things are nowadays included just to garner hype. The social media activists have become a mere tool for filmmakers, ek controversial sentence daaldo, aur outrage ki waaze se free ka publicity.

So if even Kartik apologises, it will only be after sucking all the hype and publicity from this scandal. Toh kiya faida aise faltu apology ka, Kartik Bhusan ki gand mai daale aise apology
