I understand ur reaction and frustration, but literally every single plan taken up by Sherlyn has resulted in Karan and Preeta coming 'together , and has backfired on her in the long run. (up untill now at least).
If we take things into consideration from the very beginning, her first evil plan during her own engagement, to 'neecha dikhao' Preeta and her entire family, resulted in Karan and Preeta finally becoming friends and joining hands in there (now failed mission) to save Rishabh from Sherlyn.
Followed by Sherlyn's second big plan to get Preeta away from Rishabh so that Preeta doesn't become her 'sautan', Shelryn got Prithvi and Preeta engaged. HOWEVER, what did that result to Preeta technically in actuality becoming Sherlyn's Sautan becoz Prithvi ended up falling for her( in love/lust/obsession) whatever, u want to call it.
The fire during Preeta Prithvi's Roka, Karan drug case, Shrishti kidnapping, Karan Molestation case, Rishabh murder case, in ALL these plans it seemed as thou Prithvi Sherlyn were winning it, however, all these things have culminated to what it is today. If it weren't for ALL the plans and plotting by Prithlyn, things would be very different and very boring. In fact if it weren't for Sherlyn and Rishabh getting married Karan and Preeta would have NOT gotten married either.
So I believe, this up and coming plan by PrithLyn will ALSO grossly backfire on them. (Sadly being engaged/married with an A**Hole character is apparently Preeta's Bhagya) Prithlyn have only worked as an impetus, and that is essentially the actual plot.
