Yeah pretty sure Kat could relate a lot to Jazz which is why she was relatively more comfortable and quite natural in NL.

1. It's not her best performance.

2. Even if she was playing herself, that doesn't make it easily her best. Performance skills are still needed. Did she relate to this character more than others because they had similarities? - it's very possible.

Her best complete performance is arguably Bharat.

She wasn't playing herself in Rajneeti, ZNMD, MBKD, ETT, or Zero either.

Katrina is a decent actress. Unpopular opinion, yes. She's decent because she can deliver but she also falls flat at times. She won't own a role like Kangana or Vidya, or Kareena or PC, but Katrina is to Kangana/Vidya what Kangana/Vidya is to Smita Patel, so it's all about hierarchy.

I've seen some abysmal actresses in my time—some that would make you think that Katrina were Nargis or Nutan in comparison.

She was adorable in NL. I loved her. She was good in Yuvvraaj too—the only good thing in that movie after the heavenly music.

It was not her best, but one of the best performances.

She was good in ZNMD,Rajneeti,New York etc as well.

If I put Katrina's best performances in order, then New York comes first and then Rajneeti. Her best works so far.
