Bollywood actor Salman Khan, whose popularity ratings seem never to have been affected despite the recent lows in his personal life, has said he is a firm believer in fate and destiny.
''I never keep any expectations and live life for the moment rather than keep thinking about future,'' Salman told reporters here yesterday while launching a new line of exquisite jewellery 'Collection G' by D'damas, inspired by his forthcoming movie 'Kyon Ki', also starring Jackie Shroff and Kareena Kapoor.
He said his latest Diwali release is also based on what role the fate plays in a person's life, and he identifies with it, since he himself believes in fate Salman said 'Kyon Ki', directed by Priyadarshan, was one of the best films in his entire 15-year career in Bollywood. ''It's a clean entertainer with romance and comedy to be watched by the entire family,'' he said.
To a poser on whether he has any apprehensions about the film being released at the same time when Priyadarshan's other film 'Garam Masala', starring Akshay Kumar and John Abraham, is also being released, Salman said he had watched the promos of 'Garam Masala' and liked them a lot.
Priyadarshan, who was also present at the press conference, said the Salman's character in 'Kyon Ki' was akin to what the actor is in his real life.
Salman, however, denied that the film is an extension of his earlier movie 'Tere Naam'.
The film, produced by Sunil Manchanda and Mukesh Talreja of Orian and MAD films, is slated to be released on November two.
