A name is part of your identity....it's your choice how you want to keep it.....but you shouldn't be adding a surname to erase your own identity completely and lose yourself in that of your husband or in-laws. That's all Mini is trying to say. Uske liye bhi Mini ko gyaani aur pata nahin kya kya ka label mil raha hai.....LOL

I hope the execution doesn’t fall flat and message gets lost somewhere. Base here is superb.

Yup. And let's see how far they can go with it. I mean people are still hanging in there because of HS and Minnie, but let's see how far they can take this story with no growth of babita. Until now show progressed with her story. Babita moving out, her divorce, her odd jobes, her own business.... Let's see what exactly story is going to be if she's going to be nothing but a housewife sitting at home and being an emotional burden on everyone.

At this point there are so many things that needs to be bothered about, surname change should be at the bottom of the list. Are these writers the same people who wrote first 200 episodes? Clearly at this point a redemption arc for babita is needed (sooner the better), but I don't see any signs of that happening. Maybe HS' Chachi would give some momentum to otherwise stagnant story.

That’s what I wonder too. That how far show can go if we are to stick around only for HS and Mini. Third wheel stays at the same place without moving and in some cases, even moves backwards.

Show will get extremely stagnant if Babita doesn’t have a growth. And viewers resign which I see already happening.

It's so frustrating that there's not a single good thing shown about babita since the wedding. How do writers expect us to like a show when one of the protagonist (I hope she's a protagonist) shows no signs of growth. And damage done so far is so bad that I don't see a redemption arc without 360° changes in personality.

And from what we saw in last 2 months or so, it feels like maybe writers didn't want babita's character to grow the way we expected. Maybe they're going to get her divorced for the second time (to prove the point that Ashok was not completely responsible for 1st divorce and then she'll understand about her own flaws). In any case, I didn't sign up for this. For me, PB is already down in the drain.

Through this promo, what I understood is, through Babita writers are throwing shades at different women characteristics. Not necessarily that only one woman would have it.

Like this identity bit. She has been gushing about losing herself in love since few days.
Saroj also has similar views. She said something like.. sindoor mein aap pe bahot jach raha hai. Sach Didi, Pati ke naam ka sindoor hi ek aurat ko khubsurat banata hai or something like that. Basically if you aren’t married, there is no worth to you as woman.

So this promo doesn’t only focus on Babita but all those women who thinks Sindoor, pati, suhaag are woman’s identity.

It’s a great plot only if the message gets across properly. These days I fear execution very much.
