The movie was a snoozefest.
The story was very cliche but so was babhubalis, but it was treatment on the movies that made world of difference...
It wasn't that bad but it simply didn't live up to his hype. Not a movie that looked like there was 100cr spent on it nor did it justify the 2 year spent on it...
there was no character development for any of the other characters. It's Simply lacked an emotional connect.
But I will say the trailer was trolled mercilessly, so many articles questioning the authenticity and writing thesis on it.. it almost seemed like a hidden agenda...
But the product itself was also mediocre. I don't think it would have done better even if it wasn't trolled so badly
I have not seen the film but the trailer was really really bad and was badly received. Trolled mercilessly. Even the WOM was negative.
Very boring movie...Pooja Hegde is such a wooden log and no chemistry
The film was cartoonsihly bad and had a done to death plot: underdog meant for bigger things takes on bigshot tyrants and ultimately defeats them to achieve his destiny.
Throw in the unnecessary love angle, poorly done cgi, bad songs, cringeworthy dialogues, overacting buffoonish villains, comically bad dance numbers and costumes. You have all it takes to produce a big fat disaster. 🤣🤣
The title itself was the biggest mistake. Mohenjo Daro is touted as one of the oldest civilisation and city; part of which is still undiscovered.
When you associate the movie with such place, people would obviously expect some authenticity no matter how much you try to sell it as a fictional story which Gowariker did. I think that was the biggest disappointment and then of course the poor storyline and CGI, esp the climax scene. Pooja Hegde was a miscast.
Music was top notch though. I don't agree with criticism it got. Especially, the instrumental theme. It was haunting and Rahman's one of the best compositions.
Haven't seen the movie but read that there was a muslim character in the movie?Mohenjodaro is 3000-2500 BC right? What was a man of a religion which was formed in 6-7 AD doing in the movie?Cant believe gowarikar made this mistake.Inko aur kjo ko dekhkar slb ke liye mann mein izzat aa jaati hai😂
Please include the costumes too, along with the draggy storyline. The ladies from that era didn't use to dressup like that. They gave it more like a Roman vibe. Also the history was so much messed up that it put the audience off.
problem with Mohenjadaro was it was dated. Simple.
It was a very badly made movie. I couldn't even finish it.
When you take an interesting and intellectual era of IVC, you don't take shitty plot of a 80's overlord and macho hero locking horns. It's a typical 70s 80s plot set against a background that is way above it's aukaat.
It should've been a treasure hunt - National treasure/Indiana Jones types that would've shown interesting facts about the civilisation (which has rich, intriguing and informative history). Cutting between contemporary and that era and showing that world in all it's glory.
Gowarikar failed spectacularly there. Well deserved utter flop. Stupid of HR too. And the maha boring ensemble cast.
I randomly came across this and now i wonder what went wrong https://m.youtube.com/shorts/bR2GLuYsW-8
