I don't think Babita is solely to blame though. She may not understand this whole soulmate concept and it's not her fault. Minnie was saying that this is reality, when really it's not. Not everyone follow her line of thought when it comes to friendship. The value we put in words are totally different to that of the older generations. For example, saying that someone is a best friend for life doesn't mean it's true. People grow up, or their dosti falls apart and those claims of being BFFs are no longer true. Babita was correct when she mentioned that soulmates are generally used in a romantic context. For it to be applied platonically is not a common thing.
That being said, I also didn't agree with her calling up HS whilst he was on duty for this. He's a police officer. He deals with life and death. More grave matters need his attention than whatever kalesh these two women create behind his back.
Trust is gone from everyone's side. To various extents, neither HS or Babita trust Minnie and Minnie too, no longer trusts either of them with her problems. It's a shame this is what they've all come down to now.
